“You're a clerk for the Treasury Office?” Monika asks with a friendly voice that actually sounds genuine. “Working in a city among the clouds, that has to be fascinating.” Keeping causal eye contact, she gives a slight smile, while leaning in to give the appearance that the official's words really matter to her, thus the bounty hunter begins the slow, tedious, process of social engineering information out of the unsuspecting clerk.

As the conversation begins the Monika reflects on the rules of seduction to fight off the boredom of listening to the clerk's inane life. “For few woman,” she remembers, “and even fewer men, truly understand this art.”

When the clerk becomes flustered by his Freudian slip of calling the Treasury's budget “well endowed”, Monika recalls, “seduction is not really about sex. Sure there is always the subtle tease of the possibility, but it's never the focus.”

“Ample assets are always helpful.” Monika answers and then enjoys watching his anxious reaction while reminding herself, “Being beautiful is, at first, a major stumbling block to the art. Most pretty people, especially gorgeous women become aloof. Sure some are bitches outright, but many are paranoia that any interest in them is solely for selfish reasons, or fear that men will take the slightest hint of friendliness as a sign of love. A practitioner of this art has to embrace such things.”

With a playful and friendly pat on the clerk's arm, Monika gives him a good look into her soft emerald eyes. “Seduction is about attention.” The bounty hunter immediately grins realizing the irony since she is mentally multitasking, but Monika is a master at this craft. “It's about satisfying that very human desire to have someone pretty and intriguing be interested in you.”

“That's amazing.” Monika answers to the clerk's reference to an accounting error he recently found. “There is only one thing men love more than taking about themselves, its having a beautiful woman listen to them talk about themselves. And everyone loves compliments.”

“You must be very good at your job.” Monika actually means what she says this time. The clerk seems like a descent guy, but this doesn't stop the bounty hunter from using him for his knowledge. “There is one last rule.” The crimson haired vixen thinks as she grins at the clerk. “Being amoral really helps.”
