You take a few light steps back as your foe begins to charge, then turn and run as fast as you can at right angles to his path. You have managed to put some thick trees between you, and have succeeded in changing the angle a little, getting closer to exposing the orc's **** back or side to Ramos who has understood your intent and is readying the bow.

Unable to change his direction quick enough, the orc lumbers a few steps beyond where you had been standing before coming to a halt and turning to face you once again. You can keep on running but all this activity doesn't seem to be tiring him out and you've already covered quite a distance. He is around ten feet ahead of you, allowing a moment to still your panting chest. You also quickly pull the hood back to free up your peripheral vision, allowing your flame red hair to tumble down around your shoulders. Once again, after he's built up the momentum of a few thundering steps, you move. This time you dart forward, throwing yourself and rolling beneath his clumsy weapon as he tries to bring it to bear in time. His huge feet scrabble in the dirt to halt him and he tries to pivot on his right heel, turning back towards you to swing the mace in a large sideways arc. Ducking away from the blow at the last minute, you get yourself out of the way and the head of the crude weapon smashes into a tree, pulverising the bark and biting deep into the outer wood.

The creature roars and jerks on the handle, unable to free his weapon. You ready the blade and deliver a powerful overhead strike, the weight of your entire body behind it, severing the thickly muscled arm at the elbow.

Then you are thrown from your feet as the shield plows into you from the side, the metal boss slamming against your right shoulder. Seemingly unconcerned by the loss of his arm, the savage enemy thumps towards you, raising the shield to strike downwards while you lie winded on the ground. It is all you can do to summon the strength to roll away.
