Try to find out if the memory was real

You blink away the stars from your eyes, chasing away the after image of the genie’s light from the memory you just re-experienced. Your headache is gone now, either from the painkillers you took or because of the vision you just experienced. It is, however, entirely possible that you.are hallucinating.

But the memory felt so real; it was as if you were actually reliving it…

You step into the shower and turn the water on, deep in thought. In hindsight, you can remember thinking “I Wish the ringing would stop" before your alarm clock turned it's self off this morning, just like before Jennie came up to clean the bathroom. There's only one way to know for sure if you can grant your own wishes and that's to try for your self.

You peak around the shower curtain at your empty bathroom and say aloud, “I wish Jennie was waiting in the bathroom with a fresh towel for me.”

As expected, nothing happens.

This time, you say make the same wish in your head, wishing that Jennie was standing in the bathroom, waiting on you with a fresh towel.

Suddenly, with a twinkle of light and the chime of distant bells, Jennie appears in the middle of the bathroom, a fluffy blue towel under her arm. She stares back at you for a few seconds before cocking her eyebrow and pointing at the towel under her arm, “I have a clean towel for you to use when you finish in the shower, dweeb. Is the concept of me replacing the towels that foreign to you?”

“U-uh no... thank you, Jennie… you can, uhm, just leave it there-," you point from inside the shower, "-on top of the sink.”

“Sure thing, Michael.” She sets the towel down where you and turns to leave.

“Wait, Jennie!" You stop her mid step, "How long have you been waiting in the bathroom for me? I, uh, hope I didn’t keep you waiting.”

“Only like a few minutes.”

“O-oh, that's good.”

“Any other pressing questions before I get back to show?”

“uhmmm… Nope, that's it. Thank you, Jennie.”

“Don’t worry about it, dweeb.”
