Try to bluff.

“Who’s there?” bellowed Lotan, “Come out where we can see you!”

“Fuck off!” Dago said, “Don’t come any closer or I’ll push this hourglass over!”

“You’re not strong enough to do that,” Leviathan said coolly, coming around to the back of the hourglass.

Dago shoved the metal parts of the hourglass with all of his might and sure enough, he was sufficiently strong. The great glass hourglass began to tip and Dago shoved harder as Leviathan came closer to him. It suddenly toppled and crashed to the ground in a mess of incorporeal glass and metal chains. The blue wisps on the inside immediately disappeared.

Leviathan lunged at him, grabbing him around the throat. Dago tried to escape, but Leviathan’s strength when enraged was too much.

“You let them escape, all my precious souls!” he wailed, pressing on Dago’s windpipe, “Now they’re no longer in my captivity! You fool!”

Dago could feel himself being lifted several feet off the ground. He tried to kick, but didn’t connect with anything. Leviathan suddenly dropped Dago and Dago made a valiant effort to get up and run away without falling to the ground, gasping for air. He stumbled and Leviathan managed to catch up to him.

“You’re going to pay for setting them free,” Leviathan growled.

Dago was still gasping for air, but he had a chance to fight back now.
