In a logical world that would make nonsense whatsoever, each unit would be completely self contained in case of fire or break-ins. Of course, logical worlds don't have demons with slight reality altering powers.

"I guess it can't hurt to try," Jasmin muttered a little skeptically, but slowly the two girls once again began crawling away from the shaft of light from the bookshop.

It was Jasmin who found something. The further they got from the light the harder it was to see anything, which resulted in a lot more accidental touching than either of them were comfortable with, but finally Jasmin gasped. "I think it's a hatch!"

Megan crawled over, following the sound of Jasmin's voice, reaching out to locate the other girl, her hand landing directly on Jasmin's breast.

Jasmin gasped, but didn't pull away, a little surprised that Megan didn't immediately move her hand. "There's a hatch above us," Jasmin muttered, her voice a little strained. "I think it's an air duct or something, do you think we could try it?"
