Try to Take his drink

"I don't need a lecture."He grumbled. She walked over as he quickly downed the bottle before she snatched it of him roughly. That’s when the smell hit her nose. This was not his first drink of the arvo , and that pissed her off. He was the one that always preached to her about not drinking.

"You shouldn't be drinking!" She scolded.

"I know," He mumbled.

“You’ve got work!”

"I fucking know!” he yelled, causing her to jump a bit.

He ran a hand through his hair, his anger quickly replaced with sadness. She stood there unsure of what to do.

"Tell me honestly, is she cheating on me.” he said, looking up at her, his eyes filling with tears.

"What? No, why would you say that?"

"It's just.." he trailed off as a tear slid down his cheek. Amber didn't like seeing him cry. Even though they weren't very close he was still her step father and seeing him like this hurt her heart.

"Ever since she got this job, she hasn’t been around and she isn’t even getting paid well. It doesn't make any sense."

She had no idea what to say. Her step dad was never one to confide in her and this was something she was not prepared for.

"I… don’t know.” Amber breathed out realising it was a strong possibility, especially since her mum was acting so strange.

"She doesn't talk try to me anymore. And our class are so breath. When’s she at home she feels different.” He continued.

She sighed. Her mom had become distant and cold towards them both and Amber could feel the walls that had begun building between them.

"Look, maybe she's just stressed about something, and maybe this job is taking more out of her than we think, but she wouldn't cheat. She loves you, and she loves me and she's not cheating." Amber assured him.

He sniffled and looked up at her. "Thanks, Amber. You’re so sweet"

He stood up and hugged her. Amber wasn’t sure if she should hug him back, so she did. She knew he wasn't in the right state of mind. She felt him move his arms one moving down so it brushed her ass and the other moving to her neck. Amber froze, not sure of what he was doing, or what he wanted.
