Try knocking on some doors in the street nearest to you

You look up and down the quiet little street, pretty and innocent looking in the hot afternoon sun. Most of the largely neat little gardens are empty, a few have washing hanging in them, and in one a pale brunette hangs up laundry while a transistor radio plays her tinny little pop songs. She looks up at you, and then looks quickly away, seeming diffident.
