You decide you need to put your feet down. You've had enough of your friends teasing you. The moment you open your mouth all that courage you had disappears. "S-Stop this right now!" you try to say bravely, but instead, it comes out timidly.

"I'm serious!" you say in defense, but this makes her chuckle. "Can you not hear yourself?" she says with a giggle.

Then she moves her hand next to your hair and moves it aside. This simple action makes your face become flushed red, her hand lingers on your cheeks and looks at you.

You try to avoid eye contact with Valerie. But you feel her eye lingering on your face. "You know... Jeff is an easy blusher, but you on the other hand are way worse," she says while rubbing your checks sweetly and endearingly.

You stutter your words. As you try to form a sentence, just to say something. Anything but the only thing you can feel is your heartbeat in your chest. The heat from your body rises and your brain runs overtime.
