Try again to get up

You eventually manage to worm your way out of bed and breathe a sigh of relief seeing that she is still sounds asleep.

You cover her with a blanket, then grab your stuff to go take a shower. The entire you are in the shower your mind keeps going back to Mandy’s panties, so you decide to take care of yourself before going back to the room. Unfortunately, even after cumming, you still can’t get her out of your mind.

When you get back to the room, Mandy is gone and you see the blanket you put on her folded and placed at the end of your bed. You quickly get dressed to avoid any more awkward situations. You both head down to the main admin building. The line for the registrar office is out the door and around the corner. You go to the back of the line and start waiting. You strike up some small talk. She tells you about her overbearing mother and relaxed father.

As you get closer and closer you hear people complaining to the staff behind the desk. Stuff, like, “what do you mean those are the only rooms available.” As you near the door, you see that you aren’t even halfway to the desk yet. One girl comes storming out of the office, flinging the door wide open.

“Trish?!” Mandy calls out.

The girl who just stormed out the door turns and looks at her. They spend a minute catching up with each other. Apparently, they knew each other from band camp. Finally, Mandy asks, “what’s going on in there?”

At the rate of about a thousand words a second Trish starts in on, “Oh, so my roommate, is a complete and total bitch. So, I came down here to ask for a new room. Well apparently, everything is full, so my choice is to remain with this bitch, or move to a dorm that is 5 miles away from campus. And I don’t have a car, and ugh…I’m so sick of this shit. I knew I should have gone to Brown.”

“So, sorry to hear that.” Mandy replies, as Trish walks away still fuming.

“Why don’t you see if you can be her roommate? Maybe it will be somewhere closer.” You suggest.

“Oh, hell no! Do you think you could put up with that on a daily basis?” Mandy giggles, while making her hand open and close like a flapping mouth.

As you hear more and more people complaining about how far their dorm you, see a worried look growing on Mandy’s face. You both know it, but neither want to admit it. One of you is going to end up getting screwed. Your current dorm is situated right in the middle of campus. Apparently, anyone asking for a transfer this early is getting sent to some far-off dorms from a former junior college that closed down a few years ago.

Finally, you just ask her, “do you want to see if we can make it work? You know both of us sharing the room together?”

“I mean…kind of…but it’s only been one day, and we both already saw the other in compromising situations.”

“Well, then, we already got the awkward part over with it,” you joke.

“I don’t know. You were really sweet and letting me sleep and putting a blanket on me.” She looks down for a minute before continuing, “I just don’t know.”

“Look at it this way, it’s now like waiting a week or two will make our options any worse. They are already sticking people in the crap old dorms.”

“Okay, then, but only if you can prove to me that I can trust you.” Mandy has a very serious look on her face. “You have to confess something to me; you would normally not tell another person.”

“Seriously!” you reply.

“Yup. Prove I can trust you.”

You think about it for a minute before telling her, “I don't really care about my grades. Not anymore. I'm just afraid to let everyone down if I'm not perfect all the time. Everyone is always saying how proud they are and now I don't feel like I even own myself. I'm just a machine that makes one 'A' after another."

"Is that it?" Mandy says, after a short silence, "That's your confession? That’s not even a secret. All of us 'high-performing' students are like that. Make Mom and Dad proud. Get a scholarship. Get a high-stress, high-paying job so the stress never ends. Your confession can't be something everyone already knows."

"Okay then," you say, "If you're really all about coming out with some deep dark secret, let's hear yours. Something you really don't want anyone to know."

Mandy clears her throat, starts to open her mouth but nothing comes out. She tries few more times, and only succeeds in turning her pale skin bright red.

“See, not so easy it.”

And finally catch up just outside your dorm building.
