Truth or dare?

It's around eleven when something really interesting happens again. Until now, it was mainly laughing, chatting, and seeing how Charles, Iris, and Daisy got tangled up during a game of twister. Chris beat us all in a game of Cluedo and Hedwig showed us some card tricks.

Until now I had just sat there and let it all happen. There were now three empty wine bottles next to the table and the fourth was almost empty. As I tried to refill my glass, my hand hit the box at the bottom of the pile of games. When I first saw it, I was unable to read the title. But now, however, I could read the top and saw Truth or Dare on the packaging.

"Hey," I said, a little louder than I intended. The rest looked up from Charles throwing peanuts straight up and catching them in his mouth.

“We have not played this game yet. What did you think?

I held up the package with Truth or Dare. “Yeah nice,” said Iris and jumped up. "Now we are going back to high school vibes."

"I don't know," Ashley said. “I never really liked truth or dare. I could never come up with anything.”

“But then this is perfect,” Daisy explains. “There are fixed cards. So you don't have to come up with something if you find it difficult.”

“I still don't know” Ashley glances at Chris.

“I'd rather do something else too,” Chris said, rushing to Ashley's aid. "I mean we haven't played monopoly yet either."

“Yeah, no” Charles calls out.

“We all you who is going to win that. No, I fancy a game of truth or dare as well."

"You fancy it?" Iris asked mockingly. "Oh shut up." Charles shot back. "Who is in for a game of truth or dare?" He asked.

Me and Iris raised our hand, Daisy and Hedwig both followed. “Sorry, but the majority is in favour." Charles looked at the star-crossed lovers.

"Come on, it could be fun," Daisy said.

“Okay then,” Ashley replies. Slowly nodding.

"Are you sure?" Chris asks,

“Hé, who does not dare, does not win” Ashley replied.

"That's the spirit". Daisy stood up and took the pack of cards from my hands.

“Okay, the rules are as follows. You ask a person truth or dare. For example, the person you ask says dare. Then you can either come up with a dare yourself or if you find that difficult, you take a dare card from the pile and read it out loud.”

“What if that person doesn't want to do that dare?” asks Ashley.

“You have 1 joker, that means you can pass the dare to someone else. Any questions?” Daisy looks around. Nobody says anything. "Then we can start."

Daisy places the two packs of cards on the table. One side has truth on it, One side has dare on it.

“The completed assignments can go in this tray.”

Daisy points to the box.

“Now we just have to decide who starts?”.

"Let Sam be the first, she wanted to play this game," says Charles. He smiles at me and gives me a playful look. I stare right back at him and say confidently.

“Bring it on. ”

“Truth or dare?”
