Truth or Dare!

Matilda pushed Abigail toward the circle of girls. Abby was getting pretty tired of being quite literally pushed around, but that was what being friends with Matilda was all about. "Let's get in there," she said. "I haven't played truth or dare since middle school."

"Great!" Iya said. "So the rule is that the person who went last spins the bottle. Whoever it points to chooses truth or dare, and the person who went last comes up with it. Easy peasy."

It didn't sound easy to Abigail. Or at least, it sounded potentially embarrassing and reputation-ruining. She didn't want to be asked about horrible middle school experiences or anything like that. She sat down at the circle anyway. Her mother had always said she needed to work harder to make friends. She couldn't rely on Matilda forever.

"What is this weak shit?" someone said from over her shoulder. She looked to see Gemma Georgian, her fellow Englishwoman and the most terrifying girl in Hartford Hall. She was accompanied as always by Abby's cousin, Alyssa, and their friend Jill. "What's the point in playing truth or dare with a bunch of girls too pussy to do anything really interesting?"

Gemma was beautiful in a way that scared Abigail. She was tall, dark-haired, and with the perfect curves. No one with HER body could feel the way Abigail did when she looked in the mirror. Even Alyssa had a better body than she did.
