Truth interrupted..

Skyler sighed softly while thinking. 'I've run into this problem before. There are only three responses that I tend to receive. One, she will laugh and feel pity for me. Two, she won't believe me. Or three, she'll be disgusted with me and leave.' Although the last part wasn't so bad, it still hurt to think about. As these thoughts went through his mind, there was a bit of pain behind his eyes. He knew there wasn't anything to be ashamed of, but society as a whole told men that being a virgin was practically a sin. Not that he had a way to change this fact. He was poor, wasn't good looking, didn't have a big dick nor a job, lived with his mom, and to top it all off he had medical issues that were life threatening if he became too stressed. It was a wonder he was still alive at all.

With all of this in mind, Skyler did his best not to sigh again while looking into Zissu's eyes. "The truth is.." At that moment, a notification popped up.

Skyler and Zissu both found themselves in a canyon, sitting on rocks shaped like his recliners. The area was almost blinding in comparison to his dark room due to the light shining upon it by the morning sun. They both stood up while shielding their eyes with their hands and looked around. Before they spotted the culprit, a snort followed by a heavy laugh filled the air. This drew there attention to a single, dark skinned brown orc, standing roughly twenty yards behind them. He was clad in dark chainmail from the neck down, carrying two hooked axes. This made him look quite menacing, but what really sold it was the scowl upon his face. He decided to use Observe on this orc, but received the following notification instead.

Observe failure. Target is too high of a level.

This wasn't too surprising to Skyler, but while he was at it. He noticed a few of this orc's distinguishing features. There wasn't a single hair upon the orc's head, making his square face appear more brutish, and there was a scar over the orc's right eye in the shape of an X. However, Zissu unexpectedly growled, causing Skyler to flinch. "What are you doing here Wrukaog!?" Wrukaog started to laugh once again before grinning, showing off his two, three inch, yellowish white tusks. "I'm here under orders to bring you home."

Zissu rolled her eyes. "Ugh, I'm not going home. I told him already. I won't go back." She crossed her arms before looking to Skyler. She smiled and soon wrapped her arms around him tightly. "I've found a nice man to take care of me. So, go back to father and tell him I've found a new place to stay." Skyler's eyes widened as she continued by using her left hand to gesture for Wrukaog to leave. "You may leave now. I am no longer your concern." Wrukaog sighed before turning his axes backwards and appeared to have vanished, only to reappear in front of the. A mere second later, he hit the left side of her neck, knocking her out.

While Skyler's eyes widened, watching Zissu's body as she slumped down. He tried to slow her descent. "Hey, Zissu. Are you okay!?" He could feel the tension building in his body as if an attack was coming on, but all he heard was the following from Wrukaog before his lights went out. "Heh, I wonder how much you'll be worth." He didn't even have time to feel the pain radiating from his neck, a red number flew in front of his eyes before everything turned black. 100 - 50% = 50, 50 + 50% = 75, 75 x 2 = - 150 Hp

Two weeks later

Skyler was unaware of just how long it had been, but much like sleeping. It felt like only a moment had passed. When he first opened his eyes, everything was blurry, except for a notification and several red and yellow exclamations that were flashing. However, the notification in front of his eyes soon gained the focus of his attention.

Wrukaog's Dominance has ended.

As Skyler wondered what this ability did, he noticed a small question mark symbol in the lower right hand corner of the pop up. He smiled while mentally clicking it.

This made Skyler's eyes widen as he thought. 'Holy shit! How long was I out!?' After closing that notification, he looked in front of him and saw several pods filled with a strange blue liquid with a single, naked humanoid in each. There were a few tubes and two wires leading to their bodies. The wires were attached to two sensors, one upon their temple and another over their heart. The main tube looked like an IV attached to the back of their left hand. The second one was attached to a mask over their mouth while the last two went straight into their ass and urethra.

It was at that moment, that Skyler realized he was in one of those pods as well. His mind began to race, wondering not only where he was, but what were they doing to him. He lifted his right hand, the gel surrounding his body massively slowed him down. Once his hand was up, he tightened it into a fist and tried to punch the glass. By the time it reached the glass, all it did was lightly tap it. He grumbled to himself while opening up his character sheet, noticing something odd.

Skyler's health was at max, but his mana was at zero. This is when a dreadful thought occurred to him. 'Ah, fuck. I'm at a mana factory.' Since he couldn't find a way out of this tube as of yet, he decided to allow his new red and yellow exclamations to pop up.

Skyler couldn't believe part of what he was reading. Most of these things were great, even if the reason for receiving them was rather demeaning. He mentally hit, 'Accept.', but began to wonder what it meant about his mother. 'No, no. That can't be right. My mom isn't part of the Abyss. She doesn't deserve to die. She has to be okay.. Right?' At that moment, a new notification appeared in the center of his view.

Skyler's heart sank as the thought of no longer seeing his mother sank in. He didn't even get to say goodbye to her. As his eyes looked around, he mentally hit, 'Yes.' while thinking. 'Did Wrukaog kill my mother and sell me to this mana factory because he was ordered to? No, that. That didn't make sense. He...he did it for fun?' Two new red notifications filled the center of his view.

As he read that, Skyler could feel the tears building up in his eyes, but nothing came out. They were swept immediately away by the gel he was suspended in. He could feel his body stiffen as his depression deepened, causing him to pass out yet again. However, as he did, he began to wonder what he would do to get out of this place. After using Meditation lvl 1, should he use Gravity lvl 1 to lift up the container before allowing it to smash down under its own weight?
