Troilus

Preliminary Remarks

The Hyporean High Council, the body in charge of space exploration, has discovered a new low-level intelligent species. Given their 'unique' physicality, they are of special interest to the Council, which has accordingly set up a task **** for the study of the new world and its sole intelligent inhabitant.

I, Troilus, am a researcher for the Council and am preparing this report less the Council and more for my personal satisfaction. The proceeding entries will contain a good deal of commentary, which any outside reader would be well advised to take with a pinch of salt.

At 27 hyporean years of age, I have just begun my work as an explorer and researcher of life in our galaxy. As an expert on non-reproductive sexual behavior, my work has been especially protracted, lasting 8 hyporean years (h-years), though what I have discovered is of immense interest to me, if not any one else.

My test subject is the human 'Aiden', who has proven especially convivial. He has been a willing participant in every experiment and even exercises his species' special self-sedation (which they call sleep) behavior every day. This allows me easy access to his body to routinely monitor his well being. He has also been extraordinarily accepting all the enhancements I have given to his morphology.

Overall, Aiden has been a wonderful subject and I will be requesting the Council to grant me full custody of him once we are finished.
