What's next?

TriWizard Tournament Champion selection

Marvolo sat in the Great Hall and smiled at Fluer as she was selected as Beauxbatons Champion, and That Smile Faltered As Viktor Krum was elected Durmstrang's Champion. Naturally He Gave A Cheer When Cedric Diggory was announced as the Hogwarts Champion. It seemed the three TriWizard Tournament Champions Had Been Selected, But That Was Before Two Other Names Were Expelled From The Goblet Of Fire. ''Harry Potter and Marvolo Gaunt!'' Says Dumbledore and the color Drained from both boys faces. Marvolo and Potter were both deathly stiff and quiet, unmoving, as if caught in an invisible **** grip. Eventually both **** themselves up and over to Dumbledore. There in Dumbledore's hand rests a sheet of paper with both their names etched into it.

Marvolo Didn't need Legilimency and Oculumency To Know Snape Was Bearing Down On Him Trying To read His Emotions. ''You know anything about this?'' Asks Harry. ''I was about to ask you the same damn thing.'' Says Marvolo. Dumbledore motions for both boys to go to the champions area. ''We are so screwed.'' Says Marvolo in a low whisper. "No kidding." Says Harry. "Tell me when they arrive and stop bickering." Says Marvolo as he transforms into his Animagus Falcon form and flies to Fluer, nestling her shoulder.

Marvolo had only just hashed it out with the Ministry rep over not signing anything, and as such not having any place in the TriWizard Tournament. Mr. Crouch was insistent that irregardless of the circumstances he was subject to the binding magical contract, to which Marvolo called Crouch as bad as his son. Naturally this earned the ire of Crouch senior. Yet Marvolo still refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of the slip of paper with his and Harry's names on it, since he never signed anything, and this was when he got much more vocal, and even less respectful in his wording. One thing led to another and now Marvolo had a black mark on his file, since he Hexed the old man out of frustration. He was currently cooling off per Dumbledore's instructions.

Marvolo was firing Curses and Hexes at practice dummies, trying to relieve stress from that idiot he had just Hexed. He fired his personal favorite curse, the Catatonia Curse, of his own design and invention, and while practice dummies offered little experience in this Curse, it didn't hurt in building up competency in the Spellwork of the Curse. At this point, Dumbledore approached. "Interesting Curse, I've never seen it before." Says a slightly impressed Dumbledore. "It's the Catatonia Curse, an invention of mine. I don't give two hoots what that dimwit from the Ministry says Professor, I'm not competing for something I never signed up for, I have no business doing that." Says Marvolo. "Let's take a walk shall we?" Asks Dumbledore. "Fine, But I won't compete, because so far as I'm concerned Crouch can take his binding magical contract and shove it." Says Marvolo hotly. "I've always admired the passion and pragmatism you bring to your studies Marvolo, your ancestry has no hold over you, yet you are held by it as a result of your upbringing. You've demonstrated Slytherin cunning, resourcefulness, and ambition, yet also the courage, chivalry, and bravery of a Gryffindor, you have a Ravenclaw's intellect and a Hufflepuff's work-ethic. You truly are a paradox." Says Dumbledore. "Is there a point in this Professor Dumbledore?" Asks Marvolo. "Whether Or not you signed up for the TriWizard Tournament is inconsequential, what matters is your name was expelled by the Goblet of Fire, thus binding you to the TriWizard Tournament whether you want to compete or not." Says Dumbledore.

"As I said, take the binding magical contract and shove it. I didn't write my name down, I didn't commit to squat." Says Marvolo. "Marvolo, I'm afraid You don't fully understand, You don't--" Says Dumbledore, but Marvolo has had enough. "NO! You don't understand Professor, the only way I'm going to compete in that tournament is under the Imperious Curse, and for the third time, TAKE YOUR BINDING MAGICAL CONTRACT AND SHOVE IT!!!" Says Marvolo, his Fury Explosive and Palpable. With His outburst released, he stalks away. "Marvolo." Says Dumbledore and Marvolo stops and turns slightly. "I AM NOT COMPETING!" Says Marvolo Dangerously.

Marvolo sat in the Headmaster's office fury practically vibrating across his very skin, as he shakily signed an acknowledgment of his participation in the TriWizard Tournament. He was Not happy about competing, and took every opportunity to insult and disrespect Crouch for forcing him to compete, as he saw it. When He Finished he scrunched it up and threw it at Crouch senior. "I hope you join that son of your sin Azkhaban Crouch." Says Marvolo, venom dripping from his voice.

First Task or Class??
