Chapter 209

What will you do?
Treat both women respectfully
Caught in a position like this, a ridiculous thought passes through your mind. Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Crawford are both two fine, fine women. What if… what if you tried to get one of these two MILFs into bed with you? You shake your head. It’s just a ridiculous urge, after all.
“Sorry Mrs. Crawford, I’m getting a call,” you say, checking your phone. “Might be important.”
“Oh… oh yeah, go ahead,” she says nervously.
You take a look at the caller ID. As you expected, it’s Charmaine’s mom, trying to video call you. There’s another text, sent before the call.
Looking forward to seeing more of you ;)
You deliberate for a second and decline the call.
“Nevermind. It’s just spam,” you say, slipping the phone back in your pocket. “So, what were you saying a moment ago?”
“I was just suggesting… well, thinking that there might be a way that we could avoid this whole mess,” she says.
“What did you have in mind?”
“Nothing radical,” she says. “We don’t want to go to court, and I’m sure you don’t, either. It takes a bunch of time, it costs a bunch of money, and at the end of the day, it’s only the lawyers that win out. We want to offer you a bit of cash to avoid the whole hassle, because… well, we know what happened was really unfortunate, and we’d like to do what we can to make it better.”
“That’s a nice thought. It would be great if we could figure this out without going to court,” you say. “Not to be crass, but how much are we talking about here? The medical bill did end up being… fairly hefty. Hopefully you can understand why I wouldn’t want to settle for a bit of petty cash?”
“No, of course, we totally get it,” she agrees. “How about… three thousand dollars?”
You raise an eyebrow at the figure.
“Look, to be blunt, we were going to seek a much higher figure in court,” you say.
“I see,” she says. “Five thousand?”
“I don’t think we’re close to seeing eye to eye on this one,” you say. “I think we both want to avoid going to court, so I’ll raise the idea with my family and see what they think, but I’m not sure that we’d take the deal as it is.”
“Alright,” Mrs. Crawford says, looking a bit crestfallen. “That makes sense. I’ll go back and run the numbers and see what we can afford. I really hope that we can reach a figure that works for both of us.”
“Likewise, and thanks for all the fish,” you say, raising up the basket.
With that, you bid each other farewell, and it’s only then that you head back into your room and check your phone.
What happened? Chickened out? is the text that’s waiting for you.
I think you misunderstood my intentions, you text.
You said you were interested, she writes.
I thought you wanted to discuss sensitive matters, as in the details of the case, you write back.
We were, she writes. What did you think was going to happen?
You exhale, shaking your head. You feel like you need a lawyer for your prospective lawyer. What’s going on here? Is she just playing with you? Or was she serious in her original intentions?
Look, I have to run now, you write. I’ll consult with my family and let you know where things stand soon.
Looking forward to it, comes her reply.
What are you supposed to do about this situation? You groan and lay back on your bed, wondering how you got yourself into this whole mess.
Walker +10
Crawford +10
