Chapter 15 by Stalagg Stalagg

Which Promotion do you choose?

Treasure Apprentice

Apprentice was the most promising of the Promotions you could see. Based on your limited understanding of Magic an Apprentice was the most basic practitioner of the Arcane. In lay-Goblin's terms you would be on your way to becoming a Wizard! A Treasure Wizard. Hell yes you were going to be a Treasure Apprentice! Who didn't want to cast spells and shit!? You hit the option immediately and watched your title change on your stat menu.

This was followed by a wave of power that flowed inside of you unlike any you had ever experienced. Leveling up didn't compare to this soothing power that courses through your veins. Your eyes glowed brighter with additional power as your body began to change as well. Markings appeared across your leathery hunch and two cloth rags ran down either one of your shoulders.

Tani stared at the sight in confusion but more glaring was that now she herself could feel the power you possessed. Those who held mana within themselves could sense it's presence within others and the Gnomess feared her defeat yielded greater consequences then she could have imagined. You checked your new stats from your Promotion and you were pleased by what you could see

Level: 10
Health: 400 - 250
Melee Attack: 25 - 10
Ranged Attack: 12 - 35
Weaknesses: Frost and Traps
Special Abilities:
Thorough Looter: Can interact with items in the world. Can loot any corpse. Hero corpses are persistent until looted fully.
Treasure Goblin Sack: Whenever you take damage a random amount of treasure is dropped from your sack. Treasure Sack restores mana upon additional loot.
Item Snatcher: Every basic attack steals a targeted enemy's equipped item, weapon, or armor piece.
Hand-Me-Downs: Can equip weapons and armor. Non Treasure Goblin items possess reduced stats.
Spells:
Coin toss: Conjure a coin and hurl it, automatic ranged basic attack. Consumes no mana.
Curse of Greed: Overwhelm your opponent with greed, causing them to attack the most wealthy party member.

Now these spells you could definitely work with. Though you would have liked to have had a wider variety Mage's generally could learn more spells on their travels and you already demonstrated you had a better head on your shoulders then the average Mage Appentice. Speaking of which, you glanced down towards your captured Adventurer and conjured a coin with a snap of your clawed fingers, confirming her fears and your triumph.

Alright Magic Man, what's your next brilliant idea?
