Travelling to Vermillion

The trek to Vermillion is not uneventful; you are challenged by numerous trainers, the majority of whom are male and would like nothing more than to secure victory over you and claim the use of your body. However, you are able to dispatch them with relative ease, your team proving more than a match for their pokemon. Oddish proves particularly useful, making up for its relative lack of success against Misty, and evolves into Gloom after taking down a trainer's Sandshrew, signalling its growing strength and trust in you as a trainer.

The road to the port town is not a short one, and night is beginning to creep in when you arrive at the city's entrance. You decide to head to the Pokemon Center, healing your team and taking a shower before collapsing onto the mattress in your room.
