Training in the Forest

The two decided to head to a nearby forest to get some practice in. Not only were the trees good for target practice but their density would allow the girls some privacy. At least, that was the idea.

As they walked over to the woods, Min Min learned a bit more about her new companion. For example, Leaf did not do the fighting herself, instead of relying on her three Pokemon: Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard. She also listened as she talked about growing up in Kanto and her various misadventures there! For her part, Min Min spent way too long rambling about her family's Noodle House.

Once they got there, the two immediately got to training. Min Min focused on practicing her accuracy with Ramram. In her fight with Incineroar, she had allowed him to get way too close! She shined when she kept her enemies at a range, and to do that she needed precision and accuracy. For the better part of an hour, she worked on slinging Ramram, marking up trunks and cutting off branches. She could feel herself improving, even if the targets were just trees.

Leaf was focused on her training as well. Specifically, she was practicing switching Pokemon without losing momentum. Min Min watched as Squirtle jumped off a tree, switched with Ivysaur mid-air, and then landed on another branch without missing a beat! Definitely impressive! The blonde was about to recommend the two take a break when a voice broke the silence.

"Hey! You there!" A man yelled, grabbing their attention. A redheaded teen stood in the clearing, his sword drawn and pointed at the two girls.

"I am Roy, Prince of Pherae, and I challenge you to battle!"

Min Min turns her head to the side quizzically, Leaf matching her confusion. "Which one of us?"

The faux confidence seems to immediately drain from the teen's face. "W-what do you mean?"

"Well, you can't just challenge both of us at once," Leaf explained, suppressing a smile at his flustered expression. "So, which one of us do you wanna fight?"

"Oh, uhhh..." Cheeks a deep red, he looked back and forth between the two women. Judging from the look in his eyes, Min Min was pretty sure his considerations were less about who he wanted to fight and more about who he wanted to fuck.

Which is why she was both flattered and insulted when Roy pointed at her. "You! I challenge YOU!"

Min Min just shrugged. This guy screamed overconfidence, and she had just spent the last hour honing her skills. Plucking one of her two remaining star pieces off of her hat. "I accept! Let's do this!"

Roy matched her star piece with one of his own. Taking it off the hilt of his belt, Min Min noticed that he had four pieces in total. This guy had already won a match?! Maybe he was not a pushover after all...

Min Min shook those doubts out of her head. Even if he was a capable fighter, so was she! And she refused to lose two matches in a row!
