Chapter 5 by DaYm0n_RuNy1n DaYm0n_RuNy1n

Was it all just a trick?

Trading tricks.

Despite what you know you had just told her, as well as what you assume Meghan was about to do (maybe she lacked the ability to do any jobs), you finally decide you need to regain control. Sure, you aren't at the office right now, but that was because you had come where your secretary had told you to! That just seemed wrong!

As is this, part of your mind said as your hand reached down and removed hers from your body.

"I... I thought you said I was in control!" Meghan protests. "I said I just want to love you, Mr. Chandler."

"I know you do, Meghan," you tell her. "As much as we both might enjoy that, though, it would only be a temporary replacement. Tomorrow, I'd still be your boss, and you'd still be bad at your job. I think it'd just be better if I take the cab back to my place, and give you the shaft you were trying to convince me not to give you."

There is no response for a few seconds, until Meghan places both elbows on her knees, covers her face with her hands, and begins crying both audibly and visibly.

"I'm sure you'll find another job!" you tell her, honestly unsure and simply wishing she'd stop and exit so you could exit the situation.

"Maybe," she admits, turning her head to look at you. "But when I'm done, where will I come home to?!"

"Here, I assume," you answer honestly.

"As bad as I was at that job," Meghan replies, reminding you only briefly before you continue listening, "we needed the money to make rent here. If I'm fired, we can never afford it."

Wait a minute!, you think to yourself. Did she just say "we"?! What are the odds other residents would be as bad if they replaced her?!

Do you ask her about them?
