Chapter 9

What's next?
Track and feeled?
After classes, Watson hurried outside behind the school to the locker rooms to change.
Mondays and Wednesdays are track days at Western. All the JV and Varsity boys and girls are racing around the oval and through the large trail network behind the school. Western has a huge sports complex behind the school with locker rooms and gyms and everything a bustling student body needs to get hot and sweaty. Watsons’ a runner. He loves how quiet his mind gets; how free his body feels. If you run for long enough all your problems go away—its true. Also a plus: he gets to watch all the fit, sweaty, heavy breathing girls work themselves into exhaustion. Their sports bras just barely containing the jiggling bosom beneath. Their toned legs absolutely bursting from their tight spandex shorts trying to hold in butt cheeks aching for more room.
The short distances (5k-10k) are split up for boys and girls because there are a lot of students. But the long distances (Half and full marathon) are co-ed because only about 20 students compete. Watsons been running for most of his youth and is a pretty average marathon runner. New to the long-distance runners this year is Mary Temple. The tattooed siren that follows around Bonnie Carlyle.
Watson was surprised to see her standing there in the group with all the other kids. He sneakily made his way in the semi-circle to stand behind her. She’s wearing the standard issue forest green shorts that all the girls wear. Her ass is so perfectly shaped, like it was cut from marble. Her hair had started to grow back surprisingly quickly, she looked very hot with her tattooed shoulders and arms.
In front of the semi-circle stood Mr. Jacobsen, a man so fit all his joints could bend like an action figure. He has the personality of someone in the Manson family, minus all the ****. He can also run a marathon in 2:20.
“Kids. Kids. Running running. But from what? And to where? Um—practice ends at 5. Just run till then, be back here and we’ll see if anyone’s injured.” Mr. Jacobsen took off down the trail. He didn’t believe in recording times or splits or miles or kilometers or stretching or any of that sorta nonsense. Jacobsen was here to run, and only run.
All the kids took off and naturally split up into their groups. As the group split up, Mary slowly drifted to the back by herself, it seemed she hadn’t done this much, or ever. Watson was used to running by himself. He was drawn to this because of the solitude. But he suddenly felt drawn to this tattooed balding freak in front of him, and not because her ass looks incredible bouncing up and down the trail. Her form is bad though, she’s leaning forward way too much, and she’s heel striking a bit. Watson would be a bad teammate if he didn’t say something, right? Right.
How crazy is she? They were just rumors he heard, but a shaved head is pretty indicting. Her siren reputation came from her dating history. One guy after another slowly would become obsessed with her. One day you would see them sitting having a normal conversation, and slowly over the course of a few months, he would turn into her ****. Carrying her books around, buying her lunch every day, picking her up from school and then taking her home. A few guys were even seen on their knees crying to her feet in the parking lot. She just stood over them with her arms crossed, eyes rolled and lips dry.
But no guys have been seen drooling over her, so far, these first few weeks of school. Something definitely happened to her over the summer. Could he find out what without succumbing to her spell? Hm, maybe that wouldn’t be so bad actually.
Does Watson succumb?
