Chapter 3 by agirlgoneawry agirlgoneawry

Who do you partner with?

Tracer

"Let's go." You say to Tracer, giving her a small smile. You were eager to get off and get to the camp as soon as possible, and with having no idea of the distance it would actually take, it was better to not waste time.

"I thought for a moment you weren't gonna pick me." The short-haired girl said as the two of you began to move, before realising that you had no idea where to go. You looked over at her, noticing that she was looking around, before rushing off towards a nearby bush. You quickly followed her, noticing that practically everyone had cleared off by now. There were a few stragglers, and the bus had just left, which made you feel even more isolated.

"Do you have any idea where the hell north even is?" You find yourself asking Tracer, as she turns around with a grin, lifting her arm up and showing off a flimsy, cheap-looking watch. You weren't exactly catching on, and she giggled at your confused look.

"It's 2PM. You can use a watch to work out which way is north." You were still baffled by what she was saying, but she didn't wait for you to catch on. Taking off the watch, she turned herself to face the sun and frowned, her tongue poking out in a cute way. Your eyes wandered back down to her cleavage. They weren't exactly large boobs, but in the sweaty tank-top you were enjoying the display and you haven't been in a relationship in a few months. It's been a bit of a dry period.

However, lost in your thoughts, you suddenly realised that you were caught staring as Tracer gave you a knowing smirk. "Eyes up here." She said, tutting gently as she pointed in front of herself. "This way. Let's go. Most of the people went in the wrong direction, so we'll probably be one of the first to get there." As she turned around, your eyes immediately gravitated towards her backside. Again, everyone smartly opted to wear shorts and Tracer was no exception. They weren't exactly tight-fitting, but it showed off her pale white legs that were definitely sexy enough to send your mind spinning.

Tracer didn't seem to notice or care that you were oogling her from behind as the two of you set off. Slowly the dusty field turned into more lush grass, and your hopes that you weren't in some desert wasteland quickly grew. However, minutes turned to hours and it still felt completely hopeless as the two of you saw no sign of anything. No vehicles, no tracks, no bootcamp. At first you two were jovial, and quickly got to know each other. You both managed to get on extremely well, and you were pretty sure she was into you, the way she giggled and casually flirted with you.

However, even with Tracer being attracted to you, the heat and the time was beginning to take a toll on the pair of you. With no supplies, things were beginning to look a bit dire. You always thought you were fairly fit and in-shape, but Tracer seemed to massively outmatch you on this hike as you began to fall behind, the distance between the two of you slowly growing.

Finally, however, you heard her call out to you. "Dan!" Tracer shouted, turning around and waving at you to speed up. You felt a burst of energy as you realised that she just found the base camp! Finally, you could sit down and get some rest.

Rushing up to the crest of the hill, you felt a massive surge of disappointment as you realised you couldn't see a base-camp anywhere. In fact, all you could see was a small lake glistening in the sun. "We can get something to drink and rest up a bit." She said, taking your hand and pulling you forwards as she began to rush down the hill. Your feet stumbled a little, but you quickly followed her lead and soon enough the two of you were crouching by the water. It was a little muddy, sure, but your throats were absolutely parched and you wasted no time taking a few gulps of the water. You knew it was probably bad for you, but at this point you didn't care if you got bad stomach cramps from it.

"Maybe we should rest here for a couple of hours." You heard your partner say beside you.

"Are you sure?" You said, trailing off slightly. It would add a lot of time until they got to base camp, and you didn't enjoy the idea of being one of the last pairs to turn up at the camp.

"Positive. If we rest ourselves up we can easily catch up on lost time." Tracer gave you a little grin that made you want to spend time with her without feeling exhausted. Maybe you'd even get lucky...

What do you do?
