“No, you airhead,” Misty answers. “Think about it. If Gym Leaders always used their best pokemon, clueless rookies like you would never get anywhere. During official Gym battles, I can only use my Staryu and Goldeen. Outside the Gym, though, I can use whichever pokemon I want! I’ll make a rookie out of you all over again!”
