Too slow!

You come up from your roll and level your pistols at the creature. You notice only a second too late that the creature's tail is on the backswing.

You try to duck out of the way but as you move you feel a sting in your neck. The impact drives the stinger in deep and throws you to the ground. You quickly recover, leaping to your feet in a low crouch. You bring your pistols back up... Or try to? Even with all the adrenaline in your system the paralyzing poison kicks in quickly, your arms aren't moving!

You try to stand up but instead fall to the ground. The pistols clack on the asphalt.

The creature turns back to its victim, ignoring you. You are helpless to watch as the creature goes back to doing what it intended to do before you interrupted it.
