Chapter 3

What's Victor's decision? Grab the goblin? or his phone?
Too late!
As Victor was trying to come to a decision, a groan escapes from the goblin as she starts to wake from whatever has been done to her. Victor's mind goes blank as panic takes over.
The gobliness's eyes open blearily and notice that there's a giant pale being looming over her, and panic rushes through her too. Her reaction though, isn't out of concern.
With more agility than her curvy frame would suggest, the goblin gets her feet under her and pulls a dagger out from somewhere in her leathers. She begins to bolt away from Victor, keeping her eyes on the large hazy figure that's now coming towards her, energy that she's never felt in her life making every step stronger and quicker than ever. She would get away from this strange thing and...
She runs head first into the tree she hadn't paid attention to, knocking herself out instantly.
Victor is stunned at how quickly the goblin had moved, and how she had somehow procured a dagger from somewhere. He'd probably notice earlier if he wasn't distracted by her becoming so... curvy...
Figuring his house was around the block (part of why he got a job at this bank), Victor gathered the goblin into his arms and started off for his house. She was heavier than he expected, but he somehow found the strength to not drop her and made it back home in record time. He'd call work to let them know about what happened once he got this mysterious goblin settled and had a quick breather. Yeah, that's the plan. He was out of shape, and was suddenly feeling very drained as he laid the gobliness down on his bed. Before he knew it, Victor was passed out on the floor, and a small trail of green light barely glimmered, connecting him to the **** goblin.
Who wakes up first?

Unexpected Ascension
Sometimes, when life gives you grapefruit, you still gotta make lemonade.
Victor Haunt was the forgotten bastard of a B-rate superhero. Somehow, after 25 years of mediocrity, his time might just be coming around.
