Tome of Tomboy

*This represents an abridged version of the Tome of Tomboy as depicted in the main branch. The actual Tome of Tomboy is much more thorough, comprehensive, and detailed.

Preface

i. Contained within this tome is the inviolable Tomboy Code of the Cult of Tomboy. Those who call themselves tomboys must study the tenets and commandments of the Tomboy Code until they know them by heart.

ii. Commandments marked by a star are secret commandments. Although members of the Cult of Tomboy are not aware of these commandments, they will obey them just the same.

iii. The Tome of Tomboy belongs exclusively to the Master Tomboy and is legible only to them. If the tome ever leaves the possession of the Master Tomboy, it will be returned in due time.

The Tenets

iv. A member of the Cult of Tomboy demonstrates the extent of her piety by how fully she embodies the Tenets of Tomboyhood. A tomboy’s obedience to the Tomboy Code varies directly with her adherence to the Tenets of Tomboyhood. Cult members fully dedicated to the Tomboy Code and to the Master Tomboy demonstrate conduct more quintessentially tomboyish than those of lesser conviction.

Ten Tenets of Tomboyhood

2nd Tenet: An adventurous spirit
3rd Tenet: A bold, brash, and unselfconscious character
4th Tenet: The glorification of weapons, machines, and other instruments of power
5th Tenet: A pragmatic self-image
6th Tenet: Pursuit of masculine arts
7th Tenet: Rejection of feminine pastimes
8th Tenet: Camaraderie with men and tomboys
9th Tenet: Genuine associations with others, and the eschewal of superficial social standing
10th Tenet: Boyish, athletic, and practical stylistic choices

Tomboy Code

I. A tomboy may identify a fellow member of the Cult of Tomboy through a challenge-and-answer pair.
The challenge given: To whom can the secrets of the heart be trusted?
The answer received: A childhood friend.
Variations are acceptable, but 'A childhood friend' is always a valid key.

II. A tomboy considers her body to be a temple. **** use, smoking, excessive **** consumption and overeating, those things which **** the body are to be shunned. Physical activity, sunshine, and protein, those things which keep the body in shape should be embraced.

III. A tomboy strives to maintain a relationship with a best friend and confidant (a childhood friend if possible) with whom she may share life's burdens.

IV. A tomboy strives to maintain a relationship with a trusted mentor from whom she may receive the wisdom and experience necessary to reach for her goals.

The Master Tomboy

V. The Master Tomboy is the agnatic primogeniture heir of Hector Tomboy, in perpetuity. When a Master Tomboy dies, their successor becomes the Master Tomboy after one year's time.

VI. A tomboy may identify the Master Tomboy by three criteria:

1. The Master Tomboy is a member of the Cult of Tomboy.
2. The Master Tomboy is the keeper of the Tome of Tomboy.
3. The Master Tomboy's surname is Tomboy.

VII. The Master Tomboy is the Master Trainer. As a tomboy's body glorifies herself, it also glorifies the Master Trainer who inspired it.
--VIIa. A member of the Cult of Tomboy shall provide the Master Trainer unhindered access to her body, so they may share in her glory together. The Master Trainer is free to touch, manipulate, and examine a tomboy's physique or musculature in whatever way deemed fit. It is a sacred honor to bare one's body to the Master Trainer.
--VIIb. The Master Trainer may offer advisement, direction, and feedback regarding an Adherent's body and health, such as about her exercise, dietary, and sexual habits, and how the Adherent presents her physique to others. It is a holy privilege to receive the Master Trainer's direction and to follow it.

VIII. The Master Tomboy is the Childhood Friend. A tomboy patterns her relations with others after the exemplar relationship between herself and her first and truest Childhood Friend.
--VIIa. Any truth - however secret, personal, or sensitive - may be shared with the Childhood Friend, without restraint, without filter, and without guile. The Childhood Friend will never betray a tomboy's trust.
--VIIb. The Childhood Friend always has a tomboy's best interests at heart. Whatever their actions, the Childhood Friend has good, well-intentioned reasons.

IX. The Master Tomboy is the Head Coach. Where a tomboy has need of wisdom, she needs only turn to the Head Coach for direction.
--IXa. When faced with tough life decisions, the greatest weapon in a tomboy's arsenal is giving the Head Coach the final say. The Head Coach will always choose the path best for the Adherent, and cannot lead her astray. The bigger the decision brought to the Head Coach, the greater the according act of faith, and the greater the resulting good. There is no greater act of faith or honor for a tomboy than trusting the Head Coach's direction, nor is there any greater good than laying a choice on the Head Coach's table.
--IXb. The Head Coach accounts not only for the needs of the tomboy but for the needs of the entire team. He will always help to reveal a tomboy's highest purpose and find the role most suitable for her, in consideration of the team.

Secret Code

*X. Divinity Incarnate: For tomboys, your presence is divinity incarnate (though only if they KNOW you are the Master Tomboy). Your attention, your voice, your touch, your smell, for a tomboy everything about you can only grow more pleasant over time. It's possible for a tomboy to literally get high off you, or, if faced with intense exposure, overdose. While uncontrolled exposure may lead to addiction and withdrawal symptoms, moderated exposure can be used as an effective tool to build habits. Tomboys who interact with you on a regular basis will eventually build natural immunity.

*XI. Fast Friends: Your relationships with tomboys grow at a rate 5x faster than normal relationships, and **** at 1/5th the rate (though only if they KNOW you are the Master Tomboy). Additionally, the more approval and validation you give a tomboy, the greater her appetite for that approval will grow. The correct combination of praise, genuine interest, and reassurance of eternal friendship will eventually open every door a tomboy might otherwise try to keep shut.

*XII. Intimate Insight: Tomboys are susceptible to wistful longing for childhood friendships they may have never even had. The more direct physical contact you have with a tomboy (in terms of time and quantity), the more it will begin to feel like the two of you have always known each other (though only if the tomboy KNOWS you are the Master Tomboy). As the relationship grows, it is possible (though not guaranteed) for the connection to escalate to 'remembering' things about each other you never actually said aloud. Depending on the relationship's course, shared memories may even begin developing between the two of you, illustrating a childhood friendship that never was.
