Tomb Raider: Cyber Punk

After the underwhelming final entry in the "Survivor" Reboot trilogy, it was decided that something particularly daring be attempted with the next game in Lara's vaunted franchise.

A new incarnation of the Tomb Raider was created. This time, rather than the contemporary settings of previous games, this new Lara Croft is from the 22nd Century. In a dystopian and futuristic urban setting. Lara's calling is the same as it's ever been, adventure, archaeology, the unearthing of lost history. It's just that she now exists in a context in which that history is just a little bit more ancient. It's a world of true artificial intelligence, flying cars, androids, extensive cybernetic augmentation and off-world colonisation.
