Tom comes home

As you get back to the flat, you notice first of all the quiet. It is still early but the lights are off and there is no sound from the lounge. Maybe Ben went to bed early you think. Heading to your room younopen the door.

Sat on your bed is Emma, she is dressed in pyjamas and playing on her phone. At the sight of you, she leaps up and crosses the distance and puts her arms around you.

"I'm so glad your home Tom" she says with joy "I have really missed you this evening!"

You kiss her forehead gently "I'm glad to be home, has it been boring tonight or was Ben around to kerp you company?" At that a look crosses Emma's face, momentary but definitely a reaction to something. "Are you okay?" you ask.
