Todd stops you

"Alana, please wait."

You turn around to see Todd standing behind.

"Those two men **** me and then I killed them. I took two lives and I was shot in the process. I needed you more now than i have ever needed anyone. Yet, now I learn that the only two people that I even know are alive both betrayed me."

You are sobbing heavily by the time you finish speaking. You turn back around to leave the house.

"No, Alana, please stay," Todd pleads through his own tears, "I am so sorry. I completely regret it. I sacrificed everything for a few minutes of pleasure. You have to believe me though, I love you."

"No, you don't get to say that. Charlie said that to me and he actually meant it. He never fucked anybody behind my back."

"Charlie was always the perfect guy. Perfect grades, star quarterback, loved by everyone. Every guy in school wanted to be him because of that. I didn't care about any of that. I wanted to be him because he got to be with you."

"You had the chance, Todd. I was all yours and you jumped at the first chance to fuck someone else. Please, stop with your bullshit."

"It's the truth. I was so stupid. I can't believe I ruined the one thing I wanted more than anything. Hate me all you want, I was an asshole and I don't deserve you, but please know that my feelings are real."

"I need to be alone," is all you say as you exit the house. You take a seat on a patio chair on the porch and bury your face in your hands. A little while later you hear footsteps nearby. You raise your head to see who it is.
