To the pub!

Adam had decided to go to the pub to look for potential targets for Helen. To Adam's surprise, Helen was enthusiastic about the idea and the potential for roleplay. As Adam pushed open the heavy wooden door to enter the main bar room, he was unsurprised to see that the Fisherman's Arms was busy. It was a Sunday afternoon and quite a few people were enjoying Sunday roasts and a drink or two.

Before Adam could covertly make a suggestion for who to possess, Helen was on her way towards the bar, apparently to possess the barmaid. To Adam's delight it was Zoe behind the bar, a beautiful, blonde gymnast working part-time at the pub whilst she studied for her degree. Adam found an empty stool at the bar and waved at Zoe to get her attention. As the barmaid made her way over to serve Adam she suddenly stopped and shivered, her eyes glazing over for a moment. As quickly as she had stopped, she continued towards Adam, but now there was a beaming smile on her face.

"Adam!" 'Zoe' exclaimed as she came to a halt, "what can I get you my lovely?"

"I'll have a pint of whatever stout is on tap, thank you Zoe," Adam replied. He rolled his eyes as he saw 'Zoe' look a little confused at his request. Helen hadn't worked behind a bar in her life and was going to struggle. After a moments pause, Helen appeared to have a eureka moment and went about pouring a pint of stout from the tap without issue. Adam's brow creased, 'How did she do that so easily?' he thought as Helen placed the full glass of stout down in front of him.

"That'll be £3.50, thanks." 'Zoe' looked expectantly at Adam, awaiting payment for the pint.

"Oh," Adam said, a little disappointed. He had half hoped Helen would let him off without paying. She was apparently serious about playing the role of Zoe without going off script. "I'll pay by card thanks."

After taking payment for Adam's drink, 'Zoe' had gone off to serve another customer. Adam sullenly watched her buzz about as he sipped his pint. This was very much Helen's dream come true. She regularly took part in amateur dramatics productions in the local theatre and loved the challenge of taking on various roles. Adam remembered long nights helping Helen learn pages of dialogue and had even volunteered at a few productions himself. It was apparent his girlfriend was going to take full advantage of her new found power to quite literally take on the roles of whoever she wanted.

As Adam continued to watch 'Zoe' dart around behind the bar providing drinks, he found himself feeling a little jealous. 'Zoe' was being her usual bubbly self and flirting quite heavily with some of the male customers. He could hear her gushing over compliments and throwing a wink or two towards one man or another. Knowing that it was really Helen doing the flirting turned Adam's eyes green with envy, and he struggled to focus on anything but 'Zoe'.

Adam felt his phone buzzing in his pocket, breaking him out of his mire. He pulled it out and gasped as he saw who the message was from.

"Helen- err... Zoe," he called out, waving at her, "can you come over here please?"

"I'm a little busy at the moment," 'Zoe' answered back as he continued to serve a customer.

"OK, well you need to come here quickly and read this message. It's from Helen."

"What?!" 'Zoe' almost shouted. She quickly passed the patron her drink and dashed over to check Adam's phone. Helen's eyes widened as she saw that Adam was indeed telling the truth. Someone was in their house and had messaged Adam from her phone. "The book!"
