To the forest clearing

Deciding that she could really do with some peace to herself, away from the castle and its inhabitants, Liandra decided to head for the clearing. She hoped to come across a fairy or two, but knew that even if she didn't, the flowers alone would be worth the visit. There were said to be more varieties in this one clearing, than in the whole kingdom.

She packed up a picnic with her favourite cakes and sweet juice and made her way along the forest path towards the clearing. She did make sure to leave a note, just in case someone wondered where she was.

The sun was shining, the birds were singing and it was a glorious day. Nothing at all could go wrong. Or could it?
