Lauren had just moved to the a city far, far from her hometown. She was eager to start a new metropolitan life for herself there. In her hometown she viewed herself as a big fish and a small pond. This was made even worse by her humiliating history and damaged reputation in her hometown. So she saved up and had finally made her escape to the city, as she'd been hoping for her whole life.

Now she could be a metropolitan area worthy of her. She could get a fresh start and really make something of herself, as well as meet other sophisticated people like herself.

That was all what she wanted to happen at least. But for everyone, Lauren more than most, you can't always get what you want. In fact, Lauren was about to experience more exposure and embarrasment than she ever knew was possible...
