To the Vermilion Gym! No detours!

Back in your tank top and skirt, you stand at the top of the Pokemon Center stairs, ready to leave for the Vermilion Gym and win your rematch against Surge. You’ll just walk downstairs and out the door, same as usual…

“*snrk* 24 *snrk*” comes from behind you.

“SHUT UP!” you yell.

You make it out of the Pokemon Center, thankfully no longer able to hear any further insults from the wretched woman inside. Now you just have to make it to the gym. No detours like last time! No shopping, no beach day! You march straight to the gym and barge through the front door.

A chain of girls in the middle of the floor are passing trash cans to each other like a conveyer belt. Meanwhile, Surge sits at a desk in front of a laptop. Is her hand in her pants?

“Surge! Rematch time!” you declare.

“HUH WHA? OH SHI- E-EMILIA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?” Surge blusters with a face full of undeniable guilt. She quickly slams her laptop shut with her free hand.

“I-I really ap-p-preciate the work you did in my mansion the other day. It was really c-c-c-clean! Worth every penny!” she continues, waiting several seconds after finishing her sentence to finally withdraw her hand. It was definitely in her pants. “I wish you hadn’t helped Grey out of the pod machine, though…”

“How did you know about that?” you ask incredulously.

“NOTHING NO NEVERMIND!” the pipsqueak screeches. “You’re here for a rematch, right? You missed roll call after the last time I kicked your ass. I told you tardiness would not be tolerated, and you aren’t even in uniform. I’ll have to make sure you know your place this time…” She stands from her desk and takes her position, her left hand glistening with moisture when the light catches it right. “Hurry it up, ladies! Dispose of that garbage so I can dispose of this garbage trainer!”
