Chapter 4 by LewdManaphantasy LewdManaphantasy

Where should Texas go first?

To the Tavern.

Texas looked closely at the town's part of the map, finding that in annoyingly tiny writing, all of the buildings were labeled. After squinting for awhile, she got a grasp of what was where, and made her way to a tavern. She didn't have much luck with places like this, but it'd be a good place to at least try getting some information. Upon entering the tavern, Texas clenched her fist tight. Many folk here were large, with stools bending beneath their weight, and with massive pints to drink from, it was likely few of them had any common sense left. As such, she kept on edge, ready to draw her bow at a moment's notice... not like she knew how to use it.

Walking up to the main bar, she leaned on it. "Heya Tavernkeep, any chance I could ask a few questions?" She asked, looking up at the large Lioness, her chest heaving with every motion she made to wash her mugs. Unlike Anabelle, the Lioness seemed to be just fine with Texas being in her presence, and with a friendly smile, she took a seat, pulling up a large glass and gesturing to the kegs behind her. To escape this world, you need to defeat the boss of World Four, who resides past the haunted woods and in the Dust Meadows." She finished, ignoring Texas' middle question, something the Sheriff didn't take too kindly to...

"Now what in the blazes does any of that mean? And where's ma partner?!" Texas demanded, glaring up at the kind-faced Lioness. However, a few moments of silence later, and Texas could tell she wouldn't get anywhere... either the barkeep didn't know, or she wouldn't tell if she did. "Ugh, this place's farther out there than the city from the springs..." She muttered, getting up and turning around. She made her way towards the exit, before the Lioness piped up again.

"If your thinking of going to challenge the Dark Lord of World Four, you may want a party with you! The woods are like a maze!" She called, Texas stopping and thinking for a few moments... she was relatively used to going it alone, and aside from April, most people who offered to help her wound up stabbing... er... sitting on her back.

After giving it some thought she...
