Chapter 10 by Katnaace Katnaace

Going somewhere

To the Mosque

Outside, Aisha did a double take.

While this was clearly Pallet Town, everything about it felt off. Gone was the normally generic town in the middle of nowhere, replaced with a bustling hub of activity. Done up in a style reminiscent more Arabic here, it threw Aisha off.

"Is something the matter?" Delia inquired and Aisha shook her head. The last thing she wanted to do here was to freak her mom out. At the same time, this was a learning experience.

"Not at all, mother." Aisha answered and shifted her veil ever so slightly. Taking care to not knock it off, that was easier said than done here. Especially as a mosque came into view. That had to be their destination here.

"Fair enough, dear." Delia answered as they reached a crowd of people. A mix of men and women, Aisha found herself oddly at ease. Perhaps once she was inside an answer would come to her.
