Chapter 11
by WaspWoman
Where does she go next?
To see Alec
Janice returned to Starlin Skincare and went straight to the photo studio. She had to see Alec, she hadn't told him about the nightmare last night and although she wrote it off as nothing, it had her worried and she just needed his comfort and support. She walked into the photo studio and saw Nick heading for the door.
'Nick, have you seen Alec?' Janice asked
'He should be around, he's coming by to pick up some equipment.' Nick replied, pointing over to the equipment before leaving the room. Janice walked over to the table with the camera equipment on it and looked at it. She heard someone enter and looked up to see Alec, with two heavy camera equipment bags over his shoulders.
'Hi.' Janice said hopefully.
'Hi.' Alec replied, sounding distracted, as he walked over to the equipment and started packing it into the bags.
'Are you going somewhere?' Janice asked, confused.
'Yeah, Palm Springs, remember?' Alec replied, looking at her a little concerned. It was unlike her to not remember when he was going away to do photo shoots. Janice just sighed and rubbed a hand along the side of his face.
'Well, can we at least have dinner tonight?' Janice asked. Alec sighed.
'There's no time. I...I have to go right now.' Alec said sadly. Janice pulled away, disappointed.
'I see.' Janice said, defeated. Alec opened his mouth again to say something, but clearly didn't know the words. He lifted up her chin.
'I'll talk to you soon.' Alec said sympathetically, before kissing her.
'Sure.' Janice said as Alec turned to leave.
'See ya.' Alec stated as he left the room.
Janice looked down at the table and grabbed a compact mirror, looking at it. She played with her face to try and look more beautiful again. Was he pulling away from her? Why would he not love her? Was she not beautiful enough for him? Did he want to be with someone younger and more beautiful?
Janice closed the mirror. She could fix that. She put it back on the table and left.
Where does she go?

The Wasp Woman
A way to become more beautiful
My version of The Wasp Woman, a movie by Roger Corman, based more off the 1995 remake. Janice Starlin has always been the model for her own cosmetics company, but now investors are advising her to step aside in favour of a younger model. In desperation, she consults a scientist working on a new youth serum using queen wasp hormones, and agrees to be the first human test subject. At first, the results seem miraculous and she looks younger and hotter than ever, but the side effects of the quickly become all too apparent. Will she be saved or will she give in to her new self?
