To mars and back

“I think that’s the last of them!” I commented marking off the outpost and studying the map Grace commented, “Yes just Seed Ranch to go and he will have nowhere to hide!” I nodded before pointing at the border said, “He could flee into another territory if he had the chance!” she shook her head before saying, “We have people manning the roads, dressed up as some Peggies, if he did somehow escape we would need to destroy everything we could in Jacobs region, he has the army that could push us back!” We crouched as we heard another plane fly over and looking up Grace commented, “It’s one of ours!” I nodded as we walked past the county were met by resistance fighters talking happily about normal things, something that hadn’t been the case since before Eden Gate took full control.

Peace doesn’t last for long...there was an small boom and looking over there we saw a small beam of electricity appear surrounding an metal structure, “What in the hell is that?” Grace rushed over and rolling her eyes grumbled, “Just Larry; trying his experiments again. You know once we tried to flirt with Mary and wouldn’t leave her alone until after she held a gun to his head, it’s the only thing he understands; he tried it with me as well but when he saw what hung beneath my pants ran away, wasn’t man enough for it!” I winked causing her blush slightly as we walked into the yard. “Thank you, I would thank you but I am stuck!” he mouthed and looking around I asked, “I don’t want to know how you got there!” “What? Speak up!” I rolled my eyes before flicking the first generator off, Grace walked up to his house steps and switched the second off and switching the third off, the lights disappeared. “Thank you! O it’s you!” Larry said to Grace who smiling said, “I won’t tell if you don’t. Anyway a real man takes care of me!” he went to protest but looking at her loaded rifle said, “I was trying to get to Mars!” I looked at him before looking at Grace asked, “Is he always this cuckoo?” she nodded as he snapped, “I was so close, the aliens are coming and I must stop them!” I looked at Grace before joking said, “Hey, that might be easier...they may a beam that could burn Joseph into Ash!” she started to pretend to be shocked before saying, “Could have a machine that would make Faith a sex ****!” I lifted my finger and laughing she said, “No, don’t have to worry about that, you know I have your back!” I smiled before smacking our forearms against each other said, “I know everybody does. Didn’t you say you wanted to teach Jacob a lesson of the strongest hunt the week!” I laughed before asking to Larry’s annoyance at the fact we ignored him, “Grace likes Jacob...” she shrugged before saying, “He could be useful for a few hours at least. He is actually the more sceptical of the family!” “Really?” she nodded before talking to even more of Larry’s annoyance, “He once called Joseph a loony for apparently talking to god instead of serving him food. Joseph was pissed but no one dares touch Jacob, he isn’t scared like the others hell even John hasn’t tattooed him even Faith has one’ it’s the formula of the Bliss plant!” I laughed before asking said, “Why does Joseph have Lust engraved on his body twice?” she leaned in before saying, “Don’t get mad but we believe the first was to atone for what he previously did to the others Faith’s and the newer one is what he did to Rachel, when he say he put his Faith in her, he means... One of the many reasons why she is scared of him!” I growled and utterly pissed off Larry snapped, “Do you mind stop talking!” “Will you shut the the fuck up. No one cares about this stupid Alien shit, Christ almighty shut up and return to reality, there is a war going on and you want to go to space in the middle of it!” I pulled my gun out and holding it up he said, “That’s why I need to go!” I looked at Grace who rolling her eyes said, “Let’s get rid of him, more will join knowing this crackjob is gone!” I lowered my gun before rolling my eyes said, “Fine! What do you want?” he calmly said handing us map, “The statelites are preventing me from going, they are interrupting with the signal. One of you take them out the other needs to get me some more samples from the Crop circle, It isn’t hard to find it, the animals hate it, it glows and it makes a horrible sound.” I nodded before commenting, “You take the goo stuff and I blow the tower up?” she nodded and walking off drove to the tower.

It was relatively easy to blow up, but after that oh hell broke lose the remaining Peggies in the nearby area were alerted but at least it distracted them from Grace, “Peggies coming your way!” I loaded the launcher and blowing the truck up said rolling my eyes, “Tell me about! Get what he needs and send him on his way! I’ll take care of this lot!” she rogered and throwing a grenade blew the next truck up, “Shit plane’s!” I loaded the launcher and waiting for it to come into my sights fired causing it to explode, sending pieces down and falling on the other Peggies, “Fuck I am out of ammo for the launcher!” I shot several rounds at the Peggies and thinking of a way around this threw a charge up at the next plane, “Nope, to low!” I threw a grenade at the next lot of Peggies and seeing their bodies blow apart nodded at the fact that they were back far enough, “Next one, Nope too low!” I tried it again but this time it was too high and on my forth attempt the **** of the explosion caused the left wing to crack as it came down taking the nearby garage out, I rigged my three final charges up and running waited for them to chase after me and when they close to the explosives, ‘bang’ a lot less Peggies to worry about now.

“Thank you! I hope you have luck in this war but I have higher duties to attend to!” Grace smiled before grabbing the controller said with me next to her, “It would be a pleasure pressing the button that sends your millions of miles away from any other human!” and pressing it, the lights grew brighter as we stood back and when the blue glow expanded we waited as we saw him disappear leaving nothing more than his sci-fi weapon. “All taken care of?” I nodded before saying, “Yes, the telephone lines will be a bit of an mess though!” she shrugged before smiling said, “Little sacrifices have to be made!” and getting into the truck I said, “Well both of those planes that were harassing us are gone!” and driving off I stopped to look at her, “What?” I thought about it before saying, “It had just accured to me, how the hell is meant to breath up their?” she went to reply before shrugging said, “I don’t know or care, he is gone that is all that matters!” and driving off I said, “I need a drink!”
