To a concert

“We’re going to the city but relax, it’s going to be a short trip from Arcadia Bay to the City.” Chloe said casually.

“City? What for?” Kyle raised an eyebrow.

“Ever heard of Firewalk?”

“Oh you mean that heavy metal/punk rock band?”

Chloe nodded eyes still focusing on the road.

“Heard about them before but I wasn’t a fan of that heavy metal punk stuff so I never listen it.” Kyle admitted.

“Man Justin was right you’re really lame.” Chloe snorted. “Thats too bad because l got these tickets to their concert a long time ago from a friend and the concert is going to take place at the city stadium today.” Chloe continues to explained.

“Um Chloe…” Kyle started. “Im not sure is it wise to ask that question.”

“What is it?”

“But is there any chance that you got it from Rachel Amber? I don’t mean anything.” Kyle quickly clarified. “It’s just that Max told me that you and Rachel were close back then and used to be a thing together.”

Chloe stayed silent for a while. She looked down a bit before looking back up focusing on the road. She opened her mouth. “Yeah, Rachel was able to get these tickets before she went missing.”

“I’m sorry Chloe I didn’t mea-”

“It’s alright.” Chloe cut him off. “Rachel’s a nice girl, you and Max would have absolutely love her.” She smiled but with a tinge of sadness.

Kyle realized that he probably fucked up and should have probably never mentioned about Rachel. He tried thinking of some topic to talk to Chloe hopefully to distract her from what’s going on. He then noticed one of her hand was resting on the couch.

Kyle slowly moved his hand towards hers and placed his hand on Chloe’s hand hoping to comfort her not as a lover but as a friend since he’s still wasn’t sure about their relationship even though he was her boyfriend for the next couple of hours. In the end, Max and Kate are his girlfriends and he didn’t want to hurt them.

He expected Chloe to push his hand away or tell him to fuck off but Chloe instead accepted and smiled.

“Daring are we?” Chloe glanced at her ‘boyfriend for today’ as she called smirking. Her mood has greatly improved compared to before.

“Just trying to comfort you.” Kyle said. “Besides, like you said I’m your boyfriend for today right? Isn’t this supposed to be our date and as a boyfriend isn’t my job supposed to make you happy?”

“Yeah… it’s our date and it should to be happy one. Besides, Rachel wouldn’t want to see me this way anyway.”

They stayed there for a few moments until Chloe moved her hand away from Kyle and turned on the radio on her truck playing her playlist of Firewalk songs. She turned to Kyle and smirk. “You said you never listen to Firewalk right? Now here’s the time to familiarize yourself.”

“Hey Sleepyhead wake up! Hello sleeping beauty wake up! Earth to Kylie Jenner! Are you listening? WAKE UP!” Kyle slowly opened his eyes and lets out a yawn as he felt someone shaking him.

He looked around realizing that that he was still in Chloe’s truck. He then turned around seeing Chloe still at the driver’s seat with her arms crossed looking at him.

“I Couldn’t believe that you could still fall asleep in such a short distance.” She fumed.

“Huh?” Kyle blurted out confused. “What happened?”

“Uh hello? We just reached our destination.”

“Well that was fast.” Kyle looked at his watch. He then noticed that Chloe was looking at her phone snickering. “Hey what are you looking at?” Kyle asked still blurry.

Chloe turned and showed her phone to Kyle showing a photo of him falling asleep while drooling in the truck. “You’re so cute when you’re asleep.”

Kyle realized that there’s something wet below his lips and wiped the saliva off. He turned to Chloe “Hey that’s not funny! You better delete that!”

“Sorry can’t hear ya! I’ve sent it to Max and look what she said?” Chloe opened her text messages with Max and showed it to Kyle.

“Aww!” Max’s message shown with a cute emoji.

“Seriously!” Kyle exclaimed “can’t you respect people’s privacy?”

“Can’t hear ya!” Chloe repeated. “I’m making this my wallpaper.”

“Fine whatever!”

The concert was supposed to happen at the city’s stadium and Chloe had parked her truck at the outside parking of the stadium. Chloe and Kyle went to a nearby cafe for some snacks and walked around exploring the city before returning to the stadium once it’s almost time for the concert.

Chloe handed Kyle a ticket and the two entered the stadium and went to their designated seats located at the front row.

“Rachel must have been rich if she could afford front row seats to a concert. Heard those are expensive.” Kyle thought as he and Chloe sat down.

Soon the concert began as the band appeared on stage accompanied by the cheers, shouts and screams of the audience including an exited Chloe who is sitting next to him.

“OH MY GOD THEY’RE HERE!” Chloe exclaimed pointing at the band on stage.

Kyle was shocked as he never seen such scene before. He had seen videos of singers performing in concerts on the internet before but he never knew it would get so wild especially the ones performing on stage right now is a punk rock band.

Soon, the crowd found themselves jamming and rocking to the band as the show went on. Chloe stood Kyle up and grabbed his hand cheering much to his dismay and annoyance but he still decided to let it slide as he wanted Chloe to be happy just as Max told him that hopefully his date with Chloe would help her.

The crowd continued jamming and cheering. Kyle followed Chloe which she held his hand dancing and cheering to the performance. Suddenly, Chloe placed two hands on Kyle cheeks and turned him over facing her.

Kyle was about to ask what is she doing when Chloe suddenly smash her lips onto his kissing him passionately. Kyle was shocked and wanted to pull away but Chloe held him tightly refusing to let him go. His mind was racing as does this counts as cheating and what if Max and Kate ever finds out, he was afraid.

Chloe soon let him go giving him a sultry look and a smirk. She then planted a kiss on his cheek taking out her phone and took a selfie of her kissing Kyle before he could protest.

“You’re mine!” Chloe ignored him continued jamming and cheering to the music.

Kyle shook his head and sighed.

“That was crazy!” Chloe exclaimed happily as she hold Kyle’s hand exited the stadium entrance along with a massive crowd while texting and sending Max some photos of them having fun. Unknown to Kyle however, Chloe also sent that photo of her kissing Kyle to Max.

“Yeah…” kyle said trying to forget what just happened. “I never experienced something like that before.”

“So those that changed your mind about Firewalk or the entire heavy metal or punk rock genre entirely?”

“Maybe? It still isn’t my cup of tea tho.” Kyle admitted. “So what’s next?” Kyle asked trying to change subject.

“I was thinking of exploring the city and getting something to eat. You in?”

“Definitely.”

“Alrighty let’s go.” Chloe cheered once again dragging Kyle to her truck and they soon drive away.

The two would spent the rest of the day driving around the city exploring later hanging out at a mall and finally ate at a restaurant like a normal date would usually go.

Finally it’s time to go which Chloe was supposed to send Kyle back to the academy and the trip from the city to Arcadia Bay was surprisingly short as Chloe mentioned.

“We’re here.” Chloe announced.
