To White Orchard, But There's Trouble On The Path

Ciri spurs her horse on. She has been riding for 5 hours to her best guess. The sun shines high above, casting everything in a glow. The wind blows through every so often, sending a rustling noise echoing. Ciri knows she should stop to rest soon and give her horse a break. She looks around for a secluded spot in the woods to rest. Then she tells her horse to stop as she hears a noise behind her. Before she knows it, five men come out of the woods. They're bandits, and as soon as they see Ciri, they smile.

"Well what's a pretty girl like you riding by yourself?"

Ciri dismounts, walking to the guy in front, who she deduces is the leader.

"Just passing through. On my way to White Orchard."

"Why? Theres nothing there."

"Exactly. I need some quiet."

"Well we'll let you through, if you pay the tax."

"Oh theres a tax to be paid? How much?"

"Oh for you, it's no coin. The tax to be paid is your body." The man eyes her up and down. "You're the first woman we've seen in a long time, and damn fine bitch you are."

"How did I know you were going to say that?" Ciri sighs. "Look, I dont want any trouble. Just let me pass through and we'll go our own way."

"Not happening bitch. Take your clothes off or we'll cut them off you."

Drawing her sword, Ciri says, "last chance. Take it or leave it."

She notices the men behind her get closer to her. Taking a breath, she says "very well." Theres a flash of green and suddenly she disappears. Before they can react Ciri is behind the leader. He doesnt even get the chance to pull his sword out before his head flies to the ground. Ciri moves to the next man and a few seconds later its over.

Ciri stands over the bodies, breathing a little heavy. She looks around. "Dont say I didnt warn you."

She looks down and sees blood on her shirt. "Damn, I was afraid that was gonna happen." She puts her sword back in its holder and grabs the reins of her horse.

"Come, let's go look for a place to clean up."
