To Talk to Shireen

You decide that, at least today, you'd rather talk to Shireen than Myrcella. You stand in the line of nobles and lords and ladies, patiently waiting your turn to talk to the Lady of Dragonstone.

Eventually, once you've reached the front of the line, you quickly bow, before once again standing up straight.

"My lady," you say, smiling.

"Well hello, John," she replies, returning your smile with one of her own.

"I would like to again proffer my thanks for this livelihood which has been provided for me."

"My sister, truly, is the one who has done this, not me."

"Well," you reply, with a knowing smirk, "I think we likely both know who really runs this castle."

Shireen blushes, before giving a grateful smile. "Well, thank you for saying that, but I do need to continue to see the other courtiers in the line."

"Of course my lady," you reply, before walking away.

Later that night, after you had left the court, you reach your room, change into your night clothes, and try to fall asleep.

You try to fall asleep, but you struggle to do it. You get up from your bed and walk over to the door. Looking outside you see that the entire castle appears to have fallen silent, with not a scurry nor step to be heard.
