To Joe

A few days later, Izzy lies in bed, the room dark except for the glow of her phone screen. It's past midnight. Joe's still at work. She's wearing one of his oversized hoodies, bare legs tangled in the sheets, thumb hovering over the notification that just buzzed in.

Marcus: "raw files are in. all of it. don't say i never gave you anything."

A pause. Then another message.

Marcus: "i might've glanced. just to make sure the exposure was right. you know how it is."

Her heart drops into her stomach. She stares at the words, her cheeks warming, her fingers tightening around the phone. The backup camera. The one on the tripod. The one that captured everything.

She opens the folder. The thumbnails load slowly, one by one. She scrolls past the early shots — her in the pool, the wet bikini clinging, the nervous smile. She passes the ones on the lounger, the ahegao face, the spread legs. And then she reaches the ones from after Marcus went inside.

She can see herself. Naked. Arched. Her own fingers buried where she'd been too ashamed to look. There are multiple shots. The sequence is clear. She swallows, thumb trembling, and scrolls to the one Marcus hinted at.

She should delete it. She should delete all of them. She should never look at this folder again.
