To Feather-Fall Village!

Sulruun and her sister Vala quickly abandoned the dead snake and hurried through the thick forest. Within minutes much of the area was covered in thick smoke and the smell of fire seemed to come from all directions.

Sulruun pushed though the horrid smoke and let out a serious of harsh coughs. However, she quickly lost track of her sister as the smoke made it hard to see. She put her arm over her beak in an attempt to prevent the smoke from getting into her lungs.

Then Sulruun jumped back as a flaming tree came crashing to the ground in front of her. She gasped and unfolded her wings and gave them a hard flap. The eagle took to the air and quickly rose above the trees and smoke.

From above she could see that several fires bured across the land. The flames ate at the trees and the branches, her first thought was to locate her sister. This was however quite hard to do, with little luck she choose to fly toward the village.

On foot it would take her at least an hour from where she had been hovering to get back to Feather-Fall. But in the air that hour lessened to about a few minutes as she soared across the sky.

Sulruun's first look at the village made her gulp with worry, she saw that several wooden huts were blazing in a red and orange inferno. The eagle quickly swooped down to help her people, she landed next to a male and said in a worried tone "what in the five tribes happened!?"

The male eagle looked at her and replied as he lifted a wooden bucket "no one knows! One moment the skies were clear, the next thing we knew explosions were going off all around the village!"

"Where is Chief Grizz!?"

The male poured water onto the roof of one of the huts as he looked back at Sulruun and answered "he was at the lake when the explosions went off!"

Sulruun nodded and looked toward the lake, a small island sat in the middle with a stone structure that had been there for as long as Sulruun could remember. She took a step toward it and the male said "we need help putting out these fires!"

But in the back of Sulruun's mind she knew that the Chief was also in danger and needed help...
