Chapter 294 by D!$N3Y D!$N3Y

Who said that?

Tina and Her Mom

Tina tried to run after you, dragging her parent with her. "Mama, he save me. From bullies. He show me magic." Her mother was happy to have her daughter back, and... the old man seemed nice...

"Thank you. For looking after my daughter." She subconsciously rubbed her fingers near the front of her neck. "I'm Jennifer."

"George. Nice to meet you." You extend your hand out, and she takes it. For a moment, she felt your 'godly' strength and shuddered... Despite her best to conceal it.

"Mama ok?" Tina asked, looking up at her with some concern. Jennifer cleared her throat, composing herself.

"Yes, sweetie. Mommy's ok." She smiled at you, in a way you were too familiar with: bedroom eyes... But she disguised it well from Tina. "So, George. I was wondering... Are you busy tomorrow? I would like to thank you properly. Cup of coffee?"

This was... familiar. Same as the others, but... different. "Well... I don't know. I have a busy schedule, usually."

"Please?" Tina asked. "Mommy like you." She smiled as Jen looked embarrassed.

"Tina!" Jennifer shot back. "Don't be silly." Somehow you couldn't help but chuckle. A child's innocence and honesty were an interesting combination.

"I'll see what I can do, miss Jennifer." And she said to skip the formality and just call her 'Jen'. "All right. Jen."

You then knelt in front of Tina, smiling warmly at her. "I'm sorry I scared you. I didn't mean to." You held out your pinching fingers, and created a light-blue daisy. "Here you go. Now it's like you have a part of me." She giggled softly and sniffed it, smelling nothing.

You three parted ways, and Tina bid you a happy goodbye. You both waved at each other, and you finally leave the park.
