Tina, do nothing, I want to see what she does.

Nathan chooses: “Tina, do nothing, I want to see what she does.”

Nathan grips his phone, his heart racing as Selena pounds on the door, her voice growing louder and more furious.

“Hey, let me out! I don’t know what’s going on, but this isn’t funny!” she yells, her tone a mix of fear and anger.

He looks at the screen and whispers to Tina:

“Tina, do nothing. I want to see what she does.”

Tina’s voice in his head responds calmly:

“As you wish, Nathan. I’ll observe and intervene only if you ask.”

Before Nathan can reconsider, Selena kicks the bedroom door with surprising ****. The flimsy lock gives way, and the door swings open. She bolts out of the room, moving fast despite her bare feet and skimpy bikini. Nathan rushes after her, nearly tripping over a chair.

“Selena, wait!” he shouts, but she’s already darting down the hallway toward the front door.

She flings the front door open and runs into the yard. The sun is dipping toward the horizon, bathing the suburban neighborhood in soft orange light. Selena stops in the middle of the lawn, looking around in panic.

“Where even am I? Is this some kind of suburb?” she mutters, hugging herself as if trying to stay warm. Then she notices the neighbor’s house across the street, where a teenager is already filming her from the window.

“Hey, you! Stop recording!” she yells, charging toward the fence, but her voice only draws more attention. A neighbor’s dog starts barking, and a woman steps out of the house opposite with a trash bag, freezing at the sight of a half-naked girl screaming in the yard.

Nathan catches up and grabs her arm:

“Selena, come back inside, please! This is all explainable, just…”

She yanks away:

“Don’t touch me! I don’t know who you are, but I’m calling the police! Where’s my phone?” She looks around, clearly finding nothing familiar, and her panic turns to rage.

At that moment, the teenager across the street shouts:

“Whoa, is that Selena Gomez? No way!” He keeps filming, and Nathan realizes the situation is spiraling out of control.

Tina speaks in his head again:

“Nathan, her behavior is attracting attention. That video will hit the internet soon. If they find her, they’ll find ibod. What do we do?”

Nathan watches Selena, who’s now trying to climb over the low fence to the neighbors, and feels sweat trickling down his back. He needs to decide fast.
