Time to Save her Roommates!

She wasn’t sure what possessed her to do this, but she couldn’t leave someone to that fate without doing something. If the rumours were true, that would mean the police were in the pocket of Balzz, meaning it would be useless to contact them. She would have to go it alone.

It took her ten minutes, but Bethany got changed and grabbed the keys to her bike and made her way outside the front door; ready to do the craziest thing she had ever done in her life.

Meanwhile…

Gwen woke up in the middle of a white room. She blinked the dizziness away as she knew immediately what had happened. They had finally found them.

“Gwen!? Holy crap, are you okay?”

“Blair…” Gwen looked over towards the voice that called out to her to see her brother strapped to a chair and fully nude.

Gwen realised that her arms and legs were bound to a chair too. She was unsurprised to find she had been left entire naked, the only thing different was she couldn't’ feel the sweet taste on her lips anymore. She looked around and guessed they had been placed in one of the experimentation rooms for whatever they got up to in this place. It was white and clean and filled with vials of god knows what.

The room was dimly lit, giving the white room a soft glow. Gwen tried to make a note of possible blunt objects to aid her escape. She could see scalpels and surgical equipment, but nothing else even close to her. The situation was starting to really dawn on her how seemingly hopeless they were.

“I see you’re awake,” said a deep voice from across the room. Gwen knew that slight German accent anywhere.

“Victor Balzz,” she muttered darkly.

“I told you that you couldn’t run forever.”

The twins looked up at him as he strolled towards them. He was a tall, well-built man. He was wearing a buttoned up white lab coat with large black rubber gloves. He had a perfectly bald head and a moustache and goatee to top it off. He couldn’t look more like a villain if he tried.

“What do you want?” Blair asked as the CEO reached him.

“You two have been holding out on me for too long. I want your power, and you’re going to give it to me willingly.”

“We’d rather die,” Gwen said without hesitation.

“That won't be necessary,” Victor chuckled to himself. “I know all about your little secrets now. I know your likes, how powerful you are, I even know that you aren’t even human. I’m sure you also imagine I know about your little friends too?”

Gwen remained silent as she looked up at the dreaded CEO who towered over him. Her eyes then shot open as she realised that her skin colour had been revealed, she was now red again, and her ears were pointy as well. She narrowed her eyes and spat right in Balzz face. For his part, Victor didn’t even flinch as he wiped the spit off.

“Fine, I have ways of making you both talk…”

Beth reached the outer rim of the facility. She got off of her bike as she stealthily approached the building. She immediately noticed that most of the guards were situated at the front. In fact, there was virtually no defence around the sides of the building.

The building itself was huge. It was over twenty stories high but also very wide and long. There were two smaller buildings at the bottom of the facility, just behind the entrance barricade, and after that was a long rectangular structure with a curved tip at the top. It was all white, and had a very new-age feel to it.

Bethany had no idea how she would even tackle this structure, but she knew she didn’t have much time. The one thing she also had to remember was that she couldn’t rush into anything so she made the decision to scout the whole building first and see where all the best entrance points were. From there, she’d pick what seemed like the best bet to get inside safely.

She only hoped that nothing bad was happening to Blair and Gwen right now.

Both Gwen and Blair screamed in unison as they felt another powerful electric shock coarse through them. As it stopped they limped forward, still not saying a word.

“I see breaking you both physically will take too long,” Victor chuckled darkly. “But I have other ways of breaking you both as well.”

He slowly stepped towards them both as the twins weakly looked up at him. “Now who should I work on first?”

After a quick look around, Beth had found five different options in front of her. The first one was the back of the building. Someone had accidentally left a fire exit ajar and no one had noticed it yet. It would be easy to slip in, but she wasn’t sure what she’d find in there. There was also a window on the right side of the building with the same situation. It made her wonder if there had been an accident and they were airing the building out.

When she explored the left side of the building, she noticed another door that was locked up, but the grate beside the door had a key at the bottom. It was a gamble, but Beth was willing to bet that the key would unlock that door. Thankfully she had found a straw in her pocket that she could use to suck the key up and grab it.

A bizarre find was a paramedic’s uniform left in one of the bushes under an open window. It was the full set, complete with medical tools. Beth could literally walk through the front door and pose as someone who’d been called for an emergency... probably. It might also be easier to find where Blair and Gwen were this way.

Finally, there was a lift, presumably left by window cleaners that reach all the way to the roof. Perhaps there was a roof entrance that could let her slip in undetected?
