Time To Begin

Once the bell rang, signaling the start of the shift, Jack followed the other now naked humans out of the miniature building. Jack felt a sense of agoraphobia as her looked out across the massive room he was in. It felt larger than an stadium and felt so odd seeing normal everyday objects tower over him. He soon realized the were walking across what looked like a salad bar filled with cups of condiments and bowls of crumbled food. Several cash registers loomed over him as well as several giants who took positions behind them, watching the minuscule parade pass by. Eventually they came to a series of individual clear compartment without any roofs. These were what they were to stand in until they were selected. With growing apprehension he made his way to his designated box and leaned against it, waiting for the inevitable.

Within minutes giants began to stream into the restaurant and order their meals. He saw giants stick their hands into some of the compartments around him, grabbing the inhabitants and placing one on their plates. He saw them grabbing condiments and dipping their humans into them, licking the food off of them and placing some fully in their mouths. The bizarre and frightening scene made him feel reminiscent of the night terrors he used to suffer as a child. He hoped at any moment that he would wake up and find himself with his job once again and no giant restaurants in sight. No such relief came.

Suddenly Jack was interrupted from his thoughts by a shadow looming over him and a strong presence emanating from it. Looking up he saw a figure stand above him and a hand heading in his direction. Jack then looked at his first patron.
