Tim needed to sneak into a supervillain meeting but needs a convincing disguise so he turned to Zatanna for help

According to the intel he'd gathered over the past several weeks, all of Gotham's top villains were gathering for a clandestine meeting. The young ward's mind raced with what they could be planning to discuss. Perhaps the recent meteoric rise in the number of vigilantes operating within the city? Could they be talking about the new procedures put in place at Arkham Asylum to keep prisoners from breaking free, for a change?

Whatever it was, it was so well hidden that Tim couldn't figure it out. He even resorted to Bruce's methods and got his hands dirty, which didn't get him very far. All he managed to scrounge together was a location. He had no idea who exactly was going to be there. Too many unknown variables. It wouldn't be wise to try and attack so many villains at once either unless he had the entire Justice League and Bat Family to help.

Tim wanted to do this by himself, either way. He felt like he had something to prove ever since he donned the mantle of Red Robin.

No, he'd need to take a different approach. He needed to find out what these bad guys were up to without bothering Batman. Be his own hero.

Tim deduced that he would be best off sneaking in. Kicking the door down and charging in was more Jason's thing anyway. But he needed to blend in in such a way that the villains wouldn't be on edge. He had to figure out a way to avoid detection entirely to ensure he could obtain whatever information was so important that it called for a secretive gathering. The detective was left with **** but to put together a disguise. If the criminals believed he was one of them, he could safely attend front and center with no issue.

But any old disguise wouldn't do, lest he want to risk getting found out and butchered by an army of supervillains.

No, it had to be authentic. Real. And Tim knew just who to ask for help.

Thunderous applause roared. A show of lights erupted in the air over the crowd. Tim slipped through the audience, a black hoodie obfuscating his face as he made his way to the side and backstage with ease.

"Thank you all for coming out!"

None other than other than the Mistress of Magic tipped her tophat and bowed.

Zatanna returned to her dressing room only to find Tim waiting there for her.

"Who are you?"

She frowned, Tim turning to face her, lowering his hood and smiling.

"It's uh... just me, Tim, Zatanna."

"Tim? Jesus. I almost turned you into a frog! Doesn't Bruce teach you boys to call first?"

"Think about who we're talking about here."

Tim smiled. Batman wasn't known for respecting personal boundaries. It sorta rubbed off on the former boy wonder.

"Yeah, you're right."

She hung her hat and jacket up, sitting at her vanity. She crossed one leg over the other and made herself comfortable.

"So, to what do I owe the visit?"

"About that... I need your help."

"Of course. No one ever just drops by to say hi. What is it this time?"

"I need a disguise."

"I think Party City is still open."

Zatanna checked her watch.

"No, I mean, like a convincing one. I guess, what I'm asking is, can you temporarily turn me into a villain? I need to sneak into a bad guy meeting and I need to be convincing."

"Huh..."

Zee raised a brow. That was a new one.

"That is actually... really easy."

Zatanna reached for her wand and uttered a spell.
