After a moment of thought, she came to a decision. To put it simply: the drugs had to go. Not only were they bad for her health and her body in the long run, there was also the risk of her doing something she would regret. Living the vida loca was nice when she was younger, she had to admit. She had a lot of fun, made some good memories and had a lot of funny or sexy stories to tell. But she did not go to crazy parties like that anymore, and she was not getting any younger. It was time to face the facts: this period of her life was over.

She rounded up the pills and felt one last tug, an errant thought at the back of her mind. ‘Just take one. It will feel so good!’ But she shut it down, and stuck to her decision. Five minutes and a garbage bag later and she had thrown a few hundred dollars’ worth of drugs in the trash. Hannah had to confess, this hurt her. And not only for the money wasted, but also the thought that she would never feel that high again… Some of her best experiences had been a mixture of sex and drugs.

But no. She had made the right choice. It was time to turn a new page in her life, and unfortunately that meant some of her old habits had to go. It was sad, but that was life.
