Through the Door

You back up a few steps and shoulder check the door with all the might you can muster, and it comes off to your shock as you and the door collide with the floor. You rub your shoulder as you get up and see the walls covered in complete madness.

The walls are covered in various papers and news clippings, connected with red string like something out of a TV show. Most of them seem to connect to a picture of some strange object, it almost looks like a flower made of metal. Closest to it appear to be more detailed schematics of the object, as well as a collection of newspaper headlines. Thomas Farasset dies of Brain Tumor! catches your eye, you remember Keith mentioning the name when he talked about the house to you, and leads to what appear to be scribblings from a journal. You read them, they describe the author's intent to create some kind of array that would manifest the supernatural in the house, only to abruptly end after he notes the beings created or manifested by the array itself would be incapable of leaving the house but that those 'corrupted' by the originals could leave.

It sounds completely impossible but it would certainly explain what you saw downstairs. Is Keith trying to destroy this thing? you wonder as you look at the detailed schematic and note a large red circle around what appears to be the center. as well as a note saying the center is comprised of a relatively thin cover of steel around a core of sodium and lithium. If you remember your high school chemistry right those are two chemicals that react violently with water, it would probably be easily to destroy if the steel could be cracked, and sure enough there are a number of bottles of water, some still full, on a counter.

You grab the bottles and make your way back towards the basement, trying to suppress the fear in your heart. The way plotted out to the array on a map in the office avoided any exhibits but as you looked through the door to the Zombie Graveyard and saw guests running towards you from what looked like a shambling horde of corpses you get the feeling the exhibits aren't staying in their rooms anymore. You start running, cursing your lack of endurance as you already feel winded from the small amount of physical activity you've done today. You make it to the basement and stop to take a breath.

"What's the hurry Morgan?" A familiar voice from behind you asks.
