Three days of Heaven

The next three days are a blur and go by faster than any you have had in your life; they are by far without a doubt the best as well. The days and nights are spent almost exclusively with Eudora who caters to your every desire clearly taking much enjoyment in the serving the one she loves, the sole interruptions being when supplies are delivered to your tent by the camp support personnel. The food and drink is delivered from the kitchens by young boys dressed in simple grey tunics each morning and evening is perfect for fattening you up, something Eudora has taken much gusto in doing. For the first time in your life you have all the food, drink and rest you desire and after months of near starvation the effect on your body is miraculous.

It is thanks to Eudora's tender loving care you are no longer a shell of a person, you have gained a decent amount of meat to your bones and though far from perfect, you won't be fainting again from activity. This new found health has benefited you in the bed as well; Eudora has been an insatiable minx as though making up for lost time as much as she can, even now her hips are rolling against yours, her head thrown back in loud deep rich moans as she rides atop your body her hands resting atop your chest.

"Well boy, looks like you broke that **** in right and proper Adonis. I hope she's gotten you good and ready for a few days of real work." After a long appreciative look at Eudora he sends her gruffly away. "****, move that pretty ass. Your master and I have business. Oh, and bring us drinks." "Yes sir." She backs away fetching cups of wine for the two of you. The company Captain raises his goblet in a salute before emptying the wine in one great swallow.

"Now then Adonis, down to business." He sits next to you after you cover yourself with the blanket "We got our orders and now that you're in better health you're coming with us." You can't help but glance at Eudora as she refills the officer's goblet, you knew this moment was coming but it seems all too soon.

Caderos drops the spear and shield on the floor and opens the bundle to reveal the basic armor and weapons of a hoplite. The cuirass is shaped boiled leather, not brass, but it is embossed with the sun motif of the Heliopolis army that you are now a part of, a girdle with hanging leather strips to cover your groin and brass greaves strapped to your calves. To your surprise the officer takes the time to show you how to adjust each piece until the fit of the armor meets his exacting standards. The short sword is far superior to the rusty blade you owned and Caderos shows you how to hold both it, the spear and the heavy shield properly. After the crash course on arms and armor he begins the mission briefing just as Eudora returns with a plate of food as well as more wine for your cups.

"If masters were hungry." She says submissively and places the tray of food down beside you two before kneeling at your feet with her forearms resting on the sandy floor of the tent and her head lowered submissively.

"I must say you made a great choice for your first ****, Adonis." The gruff man compliments before adding with a grimace of what might have been envy "I've spent the past few days trying to tame that highborn cunt I picked out." You remember the proud dark-haired noblewoman that Caderos had been fondling when you first met. "She fucks well enough now after the first few beatings, but she still isn't worth a damn as a ****." You wonder just how rough he had been with the elegant woman, thankful that you had found Eudora among the captured women, so you weren't put in a position where you had to beat one of them into submission.

"I wonder if you will find any more hidden gems?" he laughs "Maybe you can give me some advice this time." You chuckle along with him remembering you have to walk the walk if you are going to fit in.

"Oh, I intend to, one just doesn't seem like enough anymore." You reply careful not to look at Eudora as you lie and the captain's grin grows at your confidence.

"Good, that's the spirit lad. Now then here's the mission." He lays out what you assume is a map of the city on the bed between the two of you and you look at it with interest. "Since we were last in the city the remaining guards and mercs have been causing us headaches; they know the land and have the support of the locals, but we have the numbers, they don't." His thick finger, dirty and calloused with a broken nail, traces a rough arc from the river and along a ring around the base of the citadel. "With the drake-wires down our Riders control the skies everywhere except within bow range of the center column fortress." You nod your head although you understand almost none of the tactical implications.

"We have enough supplies to outlast the fighters in the city, but a lot of the regular folk there are gonna starve, and that's a waste of perfectly good slaves." His words remind you of the fate of those in the city "So the braintrust back here in the safety of the headquarters have decided to crush the resistance before they manage to get their shit together." You sense that the gruff little man was not in general a fan of the strategists who made decisions affecting him and his men without risking their own necks, but he seemed happy enough to push back into the city.

"Because of our part in cutting the drake lines, we got a sugarplum." He sees the blank look on your face and tries to explain in a way you can understand. "While the main push will come from the river, we attack the flank - a local walled school right about here." He states pointing to a spot in the shadow of the citadel. You can't help but raise an eye at your objective; even to your untrained mind it's far from the strategic importance of a military stronghold, or food reserves shown on the map. Caderos obviously sees the look and laughs "Yeah I know, but like I said, the mission's a sugarplum. This is no ordinary school, it's a sanctuary run by of the Temple of Athena, a place where young women receive the initial training given to the temple acolytes. According to my information, only a few of the students take up vows, most are just waiting a final year or two before being married off." He pauses to take a long gulp of wine. "And get this kid, these aren't just any girls; this school specializes in daughters of the most elite families. Beautiful, unspoiled and full of spirit; just the kind of meat that the Slaver's Guild pays the most for."

You are beginning to understand what he means by a sugarplum, and why the captain is so eager to take up arms again. "They'll have to stretch their defenses too far meeting the main thrust so there won't be many men left to stop us, my scouts say there's enough of a hole for us to get in there and take it. If we can hold it, it will bring down this whole sector." You nod your head as you study the map and then he gives you a wink "More than likely there will still be a fine clutch of girl-flesh hiding there thinking that they're safer being that close to the citadel." In spite of your best efforts, you must have reacted to the thought of what was going to happen to those devout young women if Caderos and his team were successful.

"Relax Adonis," Caderos slaps you on the back with a laugh "it's your first mission but I'm making you my second." He sees your surprise and chuckles "Not second in command kid, more like my shadow. It's a position of learning. You will be with me every moment of this mission so I can see where you need to improve your skills and what you can really do." You nod your head and start to thank him, but he cuts you off before you can even start. "Oh yeah, and close enough that if you try to fuck with me or my men, I can stick a knife in your kidney and leave you to bleed out."

"I will do my best." You say ignoring the threat and Caderos drinks the last bit of wine in his cup.

"I expect you to, Adonis." Judging by the way he said 'I' you're not sure the rest of his company have the same faith in you. "Now get out in front of the tent. We head into the city as soon as the sun sets." And just like that he's gone and you're alone with Eudora who moves over to you and kisses you on the lips. Any concern you have about how Eudora feels about your new status is erased by the words she giggles into your ear at the end of the kiss.

"Be safe my love and ... bring back one of those soft Athenian maidens to break in ... maybe two."
