Three Bored Girls: Bianca chooses Erica

Bianca was pretty sure she knew _what _had changed. Now, she needed to figure out who had changed it.

The obvious answer was Ash herself. She’d come onto her, after all. It would stand to reason that Ash was the one who’d induced her to do it. And it’s not like she didn’t know something was off with that girl. Even in her altered state, the way Ash had ogled her confirmed something that had been a long standing suspicion. The motive was there. So was the benefit to her.

Yet it didn’t fit. She and Ash were closer to friendly acquaintances than actual friends, but she thought she knew her well enough than to think she’d attempt a digital equivalent of roofying her. And, after all, hadn’t she absolutely flipped her shit when Bianca had tried to make a move? That she’d use this app to toy with her mind in hopes of seducing her, only to freak out and retreat when it worked, made little sense.

That the culprit was Erica made little sense either. She was the silent partner in the trio’s shotgun marriage of convenience; a woman who spent more time living around them than with them. If anything, Bianca regarded her as some kind of alien she didn’t even begin to understand. But if the question was “is she weird enough to pull something like this”, well… that one was easy to answer.

There was one way to check. Or at least check if she was doing anything suspicious. Bianca was sure Erica was streaming now. It was Friday morning and she usually did. If she was still on, streaming innocently, that might actually help her case. If she wasn’t….

Bianca went to her laptop, opening up the anon Twitch account she occasionally used to spy on her roommate’s stream. Not that she was interested in any of Erica’s nerdy shit. She was merely interested in her operation, as one streaming professional to another. That was all. And she’d discovered in watching her that, while Erica had all the charisma of an engaged accountant, she was extremely good at playing and very knowledgeable and informative about what she was doing. Different strokes, she supposed.

Erica’s face came to life on her screen, along with the game she was playing. A shirtless old man with a comically long sword was beating up a cartoon dog in a schoolgirl uniform as they cruised around on a pregnant X Wing. It looked like a bunch of nonsense, but Erica was apparently playing the old man and dominating the cute little dog.

_Bully, _she thought.

Still, it all seemed innocent enough. She wasn’t acting out of the ordinary at all. Yet, despite her complete disinterest in whatever stupid looking game Erica was playing, Bianca felt compelled to keep watching. In her own, very bizarre way, Erica was rather pretty. She was a cute, petite Asian girl with a round, freckled face framed by dark hair in a short cut that framed her face. She never showed her figure off, preferring baggier, almost androgynous clothes, especially when she was streaming. That was kind of alluring too, Bianca thought, like a mystery waiting to be…

Bianca blinked. Was she thirsting after Erica?

Suddenly, everything began to make sense. The app hadn’t made her attracted to Ash. It made her attracted to both of them. And, if it had been Ash’s doing, why would she have included Erica.

She looked at the app. She had 12 hours to figure who had made the change and retaliate before the app changed her again. But she was fairly certain that she knew now. Ash’s reaction to her sudden change had been genuine. Bianca was sure of that. That a sudden attraction to Erica had been included was all the proof she needed.

She selected her profile, and categories began to appear.

What a weird set of categories. Not that anything about an app that had presumably turned her into a lesbian could be anything but weird. Experimentally, she clicked on option 1.

Bianca had a rough idea what all of those might do. She wanted something she could clearly see, just to make sure she wasn’t going fucking crazy, and all these would qualify. But it was worth exploring her options.

She backed up, selecting option 2. It was a quick list of new interests and hobbies she could pick up. Potentially fun long term changes, but she was more focused on observable ones at the moment. So, she moved on to option 3.
